I like the lessons, they have prepared stories involving practice use of the vocabulary in different setting like life, friends, work, etc. It is very engaging with listening, reading and even speaking practices. I tried out the Chao AI for several weeks and decided to purchase a plan after being presented with a great discount offer. I would say the Chao AI is vey helpful in doing speaking practices. It has several ways to do speaking practice such as asking you to tell your own story of the recent lesson, describing random pictures, and have structured scenario topics. It really helps as it records you and you will see the transcribed text and your own voice. It provides evaluation of the speaking pronunciation and also grammar fixes. The best thing for Chao is that you can speak to it anytime. Though I will say that it doesn’t replace having conversation with a native speaker. It’s best to use the app as a learning assistant available on demand.

I attended a Chinese High School and had Chinese classes for over 13 years but it was mostly memorization. I can’t say I comprehend / speak Mandarin, just very basic principles. This app made me understand everything for the first time! Maybe it’s also my background that makes it easy to breeze through the concepts & words due to familiarity. I think this is ideal for those with a basic background of Mandarin. Love it!

Hello! I had this app ever since I moved to china 3 months ago (JUNE). To be honest, it's kind of hard to pronounce it despite I know the meaning of it. I haven't been using it ever since I got into social media, but now I'm learning it! It's easy to learn it, despite some of us don't know how to pronounce it. Anyways, it's good! The app is gewd:D
