I live in a country where the first month of 2020 - just 12 days into it - was marked by a huge volcanic ash fall and a looming threat of an eruption. The next 30 days were marked by such uncertainty: some schools remained closed from so much volcanic dust and people couldn’t go back to their homes. Then suddenly the volcano calmed down, but a rampaging illness put everyone back indoors with no knowledge of when this new threat would end. Amidst this lockdown was shared this new series called The Chosen, in my prayer group chat group. I tried one episode, and I knew my life would never be the same again. I thank God for this wonderful production team who brought this project to life, and the artists who have unselfishly given of themselves to bring anew the message of Hope and Love that is Jesus, God Incarnate. I have not stopped spreading the word about this series and I pray many will head the call, as I myself have been called...when I least expected it. Thank you again ❤️ May the Lord make Season 2 and more possible; may His Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Amazing series that really embraced the human-ness of Jesus, such a beautiful story that we are to immerse in. I love how the series also bought life to each and every personalities of the students of Jesus: Simon Peter, Andrew, Matthew, John, James, Mary, etc. Their relationship to their teacher were magnified, for us to understand what fellowship with Him is really like.On the technical side (commenting as a video editor myself), I have nothing but praises to this wonderful production. From the setup, to the casting, professional actors, scoring, color grading, lighting, cinematography, costume & makeup... everything came together perfectly. As you watch the film, you could really tell that everything you see on screen are very well thought of. Well done!!!I praise the Lord for this series, and I cannot wait for Season 2! May God sustain everybody who gave their own piece of contribution, big or small, to make The Chosen possible. Soli deo gloria! 🙌🏼✨

The Chosen is a miracle by itself, being one of the few (if not the only one) crowd funded endeavor in the film industry. It lives out God’s providence by its very existence and continuous development!Each episode brings out a fresh new look at the gospel stories, and allows us to see the real human struggles of Jesus and his growing band of followers. I like how it builds the character of each apostle and of each person being introduced in each episode. I like how it references the stories from the Old Testament and brings it to fulfillment in the story from the New Testament especially the gospels. I like how Dallas Jenkins and the crew and the actors breathes the impact of filming this work of God into their lives.Rest assured of my utmost prayers for each and every member of the cast and crew and producers of this wonderful journey of faith, relying on fellow believers and trust in the providence of God in fulfilling its mission here on earth! Be used to different!

This show has been popping on my Facebook Timeline and so I saved it on my notes for the meantime and told myself I will save it during the Holy Week. Finished it in 2 days. I say that this is the most generous tv series ever made because of 2 main reasons. First, you are able to watch it for free. How can anything get better than that? Second, generous for producing such show that shares a life story of Jesus away from the traditional way of showing His story and journey. Something that we all need now more than ever. This is just so timely and a perfect way to remind ourselves on the goodness and faithfulness of God. So thank you for giving us such an amazing series. To the cast, the crew and the creative! God will bless you even more. Looking forward to Season 2 and to more seasons ahead. You are touching lives more than you can imagine! 🙏🏼
