## The Best Focus Timer Apps
FocusPomo is a Pomodoro-based time management app with a minimal and beautiful design, powerful features, and a rewarding sense of progress.
Our mission is to improve and protect your attention. That’s why we don’t simply pile on features, and we don’t use addictive game-like rewards. FocusPomo is built to help you focus on one thing at a time.
## When you may need FocusPomo
1. You work hard, but still don’t feel real progress
2. Your study or work efficiency feels low
3. You get distracted easily and want to reduce procrastination
4. Important things keep getting delayed
5. You want to become more disciplined
6. You want different parts of your life to gradually get better
7. You have many things you want to do, but keep making slow progress
## FocusPomo Core Features
1. Real-time sync across all platforms. Sync through iCloud across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, so your focus data always stays up to date.
2. A simple and easy-to-use focus timer. No flashy design, no complicated distractions. Everything is designed for a better focus experience.
3. Cute little tomatoes that make focus feel rewarding. Every completed Pomodoro gives you a cute little tomato. Your tomatoes accumulate each week, making effort more visible without turning focus into a distracting game. Tomatoes also support motion response and haptic feedback (motion response is currently supported on iOS only).
4. Powerful focus statistics. View focus trends, Pomodoro insights, and detailed data across different tasks and time ranges.
5. Calendar timeline. Reflection helps you improve. View your focus time distribution by one day, two-day comparison, or one week.
6. Optimized for iPad and Mac large screens. View more useful information and enjoy a focus experience designed for larger screens.
7. Mac support. View timer status, focus task, and today’s focus data from the menu bar. Start, pause, or end focus sessions without opening the app.
8. Apple Watch App that works independently. No iPhone needed. Start a timer, create or edit focus tasks, and manage focus directly on Apple Watch.
## FocusPomo Design Philosophy
1. Focus. We don’t build an all-in-one product. We focus on time management and help make your effort truly pay off.
2. Simplicity. Simplicity is not the goal. It is the result. Every feature and detail is carefully researched, considered, and refined.
3. Warmth. FocusPomo hopes to become a small quiet space for you, staying with you through your effort, focus, and growth.

I’ve been using Focuspomo for my study sessions, and it really helps me stay focused. But I’d like to suggest a new feature — a Reverse Pomodoro Mode — where the timer starts from 00:00 and counts up instead of down. The idea is simple: instead of setting a fixed study time, I start the timer and stop it whenever I feel I’ve reached my focus limit. Then, depending on how long I studied, the app could suggest an appropriate rest period. For example, if I studied for 1 hour (00:00–1:00:00), the app could recommend a 30-minute break. This would be super helpful for students like me who have different focus limits each day. It feels more natural and less pressured compared to a fixed countdown timer — kind of like “study until your brain says enough.”I believe this feature would make Focuspomo even more flexible and motivating for people who want to track their productivity without feeling controlled by the clock.
Dynamic Island Issue
vvalenw
FocusPomo has a clean concept and is genuinely useful for Pomodoro sessions, but there’s a clear issue with how it behaves in the Dynamic Island on iPhone. The problem specifically happens when no session is active. During an active Pomodoro, everything works as expected—you can switch between FocusPomo and other Live Activities like music smoothly. That part is well done. However, once the session ends (or when no session is running at all), FocusPomo still stays in the Dynamic Island—and this is where it breaks the experience.Even when it’s blank and inactive, it continues to take the main Live Activity slot and cannot be switched out. Unlike timer and music, which can seamlessly swap places by swiping, FocusPomo gets “stuck” as the primary displayed activity. It won’t switch with music or other apps, making the Dynamic Island feel locked and unresponsive. So the issue isn’t just that it’s always there—it’s that when it’s inactive, it behaves incorrectly. It holds priority without function and blocks other Live Activities from being displayed properly. That makes it feel buggy or unfinished rather than intentional.Suggested Improvement:FocusPomo should fully remove itself from the Dynamic Island when no session is active, or at least behave like other Live Activities and allow seamless switching. Ideally, there should also be a toggle in settings to enable or disable its Dynamic Island presence when inactive.Right now, it works well during active use—but outside of that, it disrupts the normal Dynamic Island behavior and hurts the overall experience.
Great! Want break timer in stopwatch, and a pie chart data display❤️🥧

Feature suggestion: When in stopwatch mode, can there be an option where the break minutes also apply when I pause it?I love the simplicity of this and how straightforward it is. I love the pomos I collect. But as someone else said, it would be nice to have more data displayed. I would really want a pie chart, since it's a good way to see ratios of my time spent compared with other activities.
Cute, But…

Honestly, I love using the app because it’s simple and direct to the point. Plus, the haptic feeling I get when the pomodoros bump with each other is so fun and engaging! The only thing I do not like is how my pomodoros disappear after only a week. It makes me feel like my effort disappeared too and it makes me lose the will to use the app. Please put an option to keep all the pomodoros. Or if that’s not possible, maybe create an option to keep it for a week or a month. I like the idea of the pomodoros accumulating! It’s validating HAHA.
