If i could give Crunchyroll 3.5 stars I would—but since that’s not possible, I’m giving it a 4. The app works well and has a huge selection of anime, but there are some big letdowns. Popular anime like Tokyo Ghoul aren’t even available, and some shows aren’t even complete. For example, One Piece starts at season 13, episode 892—like seriously? That’s a huge chunk of the series missing. It’s kinda frustrating when you pay for a service and can’t even watch full shows from the beginning. Crunchyroll has potential for sure, but gaps like these really bring the experience down.Edit: I think there’s a bug with the iOS app. Every time I tried to log in, it kept telling me to reset my password. I reset it, tried logging in with the new password, and it asked me to reset it again. This happened multiple times, so I couldn’t access my account at all.Thankfully, I contacted the Help Center, and Priyanshu was incredibly helpful. They quickly figured out the issue and guided me through the fix. Thanks to their assistance, I can finally watch again. 😭🙏 Huge thanks to Priyanshu for the excellent support! Still giving it 4 stars cause it still doesn’t have other popular anime and some episodes still missing.

I definitely am a person who strives for improvement on details, and I’ve certainly noticed that some are missing here and there. There isn’t any information as to how many episodes new animes will have on any of the titles found in Crunchyroll even if information about it is available online, at least for most titles in the season. And that some titles have lacking genres. I do hope that Crunchyroll would use multiple platforms, including Myanimelist for confirming some of said details. Some people are particular about said details after all.On the other, sometimes the app just bugs out and changes to English dub even when Japanese is my default. And that for A Galaxy Next Door the only audio dub and subtitle available is in Thai dub- but I’m Filipino! English and Filipino are what I can only read. And I only prefer Japanese dub, English dub is only my next and last choice when I’m too busy to watch.

I don’t know if it’s a region thing but there aren’t really that many options to choose from. I mean sure some bigger names are available where I’m from but if you had to boast being the largest anime library, you would expect wider options— especially those hard find classics. I’ve also noticed that availability of series’ leans more towards the male dominated demographic which is nice and all but what about your female audience? I like shounen, but your repertoire for shoujo or any female targeted collection is quite lacking. ALSO, is there any way to clean up the continue watching section? Sometimes I try out watching a few episodes if I find an anime interesting but end up dropping after realizing that it’s not exactly my cup of tea. It kind of gets annoying when I try to remove it from my continue watching list only for it to pop out again with the next episode listed down.

WATCHLIST ISSUE: When I installed and paid membership, I immediately added to my watchlist but only 3 showed up. I tried going back to the anime and checked the watchlist "flag" but it was enabled. I tried removing one that showed up in the watchlist to make way for the one I wanted to show up more, thinking maybe there's a limit of only 3 to be shown there (which doesn't make sense), but nothing happened. Such a hassle to search because on to the next issue...SEARCH ISSUE: Anime's won't show up when searching unless you search for th COMPLETE NAME. This is the biggest issue, and to be honest, a disappointment given that it's a basic app functionality (can't you guys try to add tags or keywords to make searching better?). I see a lot of people commenting about not finding their fave animes but I think this is what's causing them to not find what they're looking for.
