Paydrip: Live Salary Tracker
Earnings & work hours counter
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Watch your pay tick up by the second, see every coffee in minutes of work, and keep bills and savings on track. Free, no subscription, no account.
Watch your pay add up, second by second. Paydrip turns your working day into a live counter, and shows what everything you buy costs in hours of work.
For salaried, hourly and shift workers who want to see the link between time worked and money earned.
MINDFUL BY DESIGN
Most budget apps link your bank so spending tracks itself, and quietly drops out of view. Paydrip does the opposite, on purpose. You log each purchase yourself and see what it cost in hours of your work. That small moment is the point.
A LIVE PAY COUNTER
Your pay, ticking up every second you work, worked out from your salary or rate and your schedule. Night shifts, clock changes and time zones handled properly. On a day off, it counts down to your next shift and what it will pay.
SALARIED, HOURLY OR SHIFTS
On a salary? Set your hours once. Paid by the hour? Start and stop when you work. On a rota? Save your shifts and place them on your pattern. A pay rise or a new rota starts from the day you make it, so earlier months stay as they were.
WHAT THINGS REALLY COST
Every expense shows the work it took: "Lunch · 42m of work". The workday band shows your day's work paying off what you spent, dot by dot.
YOUR MONTH AT A GLANCE
What you've earned, what you've spent, and the pay still to come before payday. A calendar of every day, and where your money went by category.
WISHLIST AND SAVINGS GOAL
Add what you're saving for and see how much work stands between you and it. Set a monthly savings goal; what you keep beyond it goes to your wishlist, top item first.
BILLS
Rent, phone, subscriptions: paid automatically on the due date, or a reminder with the amount ready to confirm for bills that vary.
ONE CALM PAGE
Everything on one page, in the order you choose. Light, dark or match your phone. Log an expense in a few taps, or with Siri and Shortcuts.
PRIVATE
No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your data stays on your iPhone, with a backup in your own private iCloud that only you can read.
Every feature is free, with no subscriptions. Optional extras: Home themes like Lanterns, and a tip jar if you'd like to support an independent developer.
more Logging something from another day is quicker: tap the date and pick the day straight from the calendar.
3.1.4 12 Oct
Minor improvements.
3.1.3 11 Oct
• Tap "spent" on the calendar to see where your money went.
• See your biggest spends: tap the Where it went header for every expense across all categories, biggest first.
• Sort your transactions by newest, oldest, biggest or smallest.
• Look back at earlier months: tap the link under the calendar, or a month in Year.
• Tapping a day in Analytics now opens that day, just like on Home.
• Faster with lots of entries, and the wishlist status no longer gets cut off.
3.1.2 9 Oct
• Logging something you forgot is easier: tap the day to pick from the past week or a calendar, and tap the time to set it on its own.
• Add to any day straight from the calendar: open the day and tap +.
• A calmer add screen, and delete now sits at the top when you edit.
• Repeating bills are now added from the Bills section.
• Lanterns is easier to find: if you used Paydrip before this update, a card on Home lets you take a look right away.
• Small improvements and fixes.
3.1.1 7 Oct
Meet Lanterns, the first Home theme for Paydrip.
• Lanterns turns the top of Home into a hand-painted paper world that follows your day. She walks while you work, meets a fox, a crane, a moon bear and more along the way, and sleeps under tonight's real moon, through changing weather and seasons. Try it live on your own numbers from Settings, then keep it with a one-time purchase. Every feature stays free.
• Notes are quicker: the note field is always there when you add a purchase, with your recent notes one tap away.
• Before your shift, Home counts down to it.
• Settings is reorganised into clear groups.
• The app icon now follows your phone: light, dark or tinted.
3.1 6 Oct
Pulse is now Paydrip, and it's been rebuilt from the ground up.
• A new look. One calm page instead of tabs: your live counter, today, your wishlist, bills, the month and your savings goal, in the order you choose. Light, dark or match your phone, with a new icon to match.
• Paid by the hour or by the shift? Paydrip now works for hourly and shift workers too. Start and stop a session when you work, or set up your shift pattern once.
• iCloud backup. Your data is backed up to your own private iCloud, and comes back when you reinstall or move to a new iPhone.
• Days off make sense. On a day off, the counter counts down to your next shift and what it will pay.
• Your month at a glance: what you've earned, and what's still to come before payday.
• Pay changes and savings goal changes now start from the day you make them, so earlier months stay as they were.
Your data comes with you: everything you've logged is still here.
