Play your own video sources and direct links on Apple TV. No content library—just a player.
Like VLC or Infuse: add sources (JSON config) or direct links (M3U8/MP4), then browse, organise, and play your media on the big screen. You add and manage all sources and links; CineChase only parses and plays.
The app does not provide any video content. Users add content in one of two ways:
Sources (JSON configuration)
Add a video source by providing a configuration URL that returns JSON describing the source’s name, API URL, and type. CineChase uses this configuration to request categories, lists, and details from the source’s API and parses playable video URLs from the responses. Currently supported sources use JSON-based API formats (e.g. Maccms/VOD-style structures). Users add, enable, and remove sources at their own discretion.
Direct links
Add individual video links (e.g. M3U8, MP4) to a local list without configuring a “source.” Direct links are stored only on the user’s device; CineChase plays them by requesting the URL directly, for quick access to links the user already has.
For both sources and direct links, content access, legality, and permissions are the responsibility of the user and the original provider. CineChase only parses metadata from user-configured URLs or user-added direct links and plays media from those URLs, similar to how a browser plays videos from URLs the user visits.
