Keeby 1.9.0: your combo can now live forever. New idle options plus Random placement that hops around the screen as you type. Pop In, Slide, Bounce, Pulse!
Every keystroke deserves to sound amazing. Keeby transforms your Mac's typing experience with rich, spatial mechanical keyboard sounds that respond to every key you press.
Recorded from real mechanical switches and processed with studio-grade audio, Keeby plays back authentic keystrokes with spatial positioning, so keys on the left of your keyboard sound from the left, keys on the right from the right. The result is an immersive, satisfying typing experience that makes even a flat laptop keyboard feel alive.

Great concept, but the typing sound feels delayed
Billy_Vbe
I really appreciate the idea behind Keeby and I can see the effort that went into making the typing experience enjoyable. The app has a lot of potential, and I’m rooting for its success. That said, I found the typing sound feedback a bit distracting. There seems to be a slight delay in the typing sounds, so instead of feeling like the sound matches each keypress naturally, it feels a little mixed or out of sync. Because of that, it doesn’t quite feel like I’m the one typing.. it sounds more like a generic typing effect playing in the background.I hope this is something that can be improved in future updates, because I really like the concept and would love to keep supporting the app. Wishing the team the best and looking forward to improvements soon!edit: turns out, it doesnt sound good when volume is high. fits right when you lower the volue.
Developer Response
Hi Billy, thank you for the kind words and the detailed feedback, it genuinely helps. The delay you're describing almost always traces back to Bluetooth audio. Codecs like SBC and AAC add 100 to 250 milliseconds of latency between the keypress and the sound reaching your ears, which is why it can feel like a generic track playing in the background instead of tracking your typing. Keeby itself fires the sample within a couple of milliseconds, so on wired headphones or built-in speakers the feel should snap back into place. If you get a chance, try it on your laptop's built-in speakers or a wired pair. If it still feels off on wired output, please email me directly and I'll dig into it with you. Really appreciate you writing this up!
Something I didn’t know I needed.

Without a second thought I bought it. As someone who likes mech keyboards this is such a fun but very useful tool for productivity. I hope you guys add more options and innovative updates! The notch overlay and mouse click is good! Hope you guys add also on the mouse sounds. One thing I might add is the app to have it’s own sound adjustment rather than being affected also when you turn the volume down on sound control when watching ie videos, I still want to hear the clicks!!!
Perfectly Done, Worth Every Penny

I hope that this project becomes so successful that the developer will be able to buy all the premium mechanical keyboards available, record them all, and add them to the options soon. Then probably adding more quirky sounds like cats, dogs & other animal sounds would be awesome!
Downloaded on a whim and it did not disappoint

As someone who does not like the chunky and hefty mechanical keyboards but still want to have that mechanical keyboard sound to my mac. This app is perfect. Just the right price and functionality for what I exactly need. Thank you for the developer for this app.
This one is for the combo enjoyers. Your combo can now live forever, and your visualizer can wander.
NEW
• Combo Counter idle options: keep your streak alive through pauses, keep the counter on screen while idle, and tune how long a pause lasts before the combo breaks
• Random placement: the visualizer lands on a fresh random spot and hops to a new one as you type. Made for the Combo Counter, works with every visualizer
• Shuffle Every: choose how many keypresses trigger the next hop (default 5)
• Shuffle Motion styles: Pop In teleports like an arcade hit, Slide glides, Bounce springs in, Pulse swells on arrival
Thanks for typing with Keeby! If you enjoy it, a review helps a lot.
