PANaHON: Real-time weather across the Philippines—maps, forecasts, and alerts powered by DOST-PAGASA. Fast, accurate, and easy to use anytime, anywhere.
PANaHON: Weather App is a modern, reliable, and user-friendly mobile application designed to provide real-time and near real-time weather information across the Philippines. Powered by data from advanced meteorological systems, PANaHON delivers accurate updates including rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, heat index, and atmospheric pressure.
The app integrates data from PAGASA’s nationwide network of Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) and Synoptic Stations, ensuring comprehensive and localized weather monitoring. Users can explore interactive maps with multiple layers, view detailed weather forecasts, and access the National Warning Map for real-time alerts and hazard monitoring.
PANaHON offers a smoother and more intuitive experience, making it easier to navigate and understand weather conditions at a glance. Whether you're planning your day, preparing for extreme weather, or monitoring climate conditions, PANaHON provides the essential tools and information you need.
Key Features:
- Location Forecast
- Near real-time radar and satellite
- Nationwide coverage from AWS and Synoptic Stations
- Interactive maps with multiple layers
- National Warning Map with hazard alerts with push notifications
- Detailed weather parameters (rainfall, temperature, heat index, wind, humidity, etc.)
- City Outlook and Tourist Area Forecast
I like how the updates are linked directly to PAGASA’s weather stations including alerts. I wish there are widgets available for quick glance or alerts. Also I noticed cities under NIR are still part of Region 6, so it needs updating. Other than that, this is a solid app.
Needs improvement

First of all it’s cute and aesthetic but its cuteness makes it hard to navigate. For one, it’s like 50 shades of blue. There’s not enough use of colors to give us a visual cue of which one’s he header, subheader, or clickable or not, etc. Second, I badly wanted to rely on it specially when there’s a typhoon (or when the rain is getting stronger and I ask myself “may bagyo ba?”) but the app doesn’t show us typhoon updates like they do in the news or social media. I would want to see the map with the typhoon and know if there’s one, where is it now, its daily projections, and when is it leaving the PAR. Also so many buttons, menus, or pages in the app that are either not intuitive for a simple person, seemingly redundant, or simply overwhelming. Make it as simple, direct, and readable as possible. This app looks like it’s made by meteorologists for genZ meteorologists.
Good and useful weather app

Saw the app reco on Twitter. Straight to the point. Can see time and weather, and temp. That’s all I need. Good feature is that you can add multiple locations like in the Apple weather. Hope the app will be continuously improved. Love this! Thank you!
Great app!

Radar image with projected typhoon track on s what I have been looking for in a weather app and this one delivers 100%. What’s more, the app does not collect any of my data! If you’re in the Ph, this is the weather app to have. Keep it up DOST PAGASA!
