CHROMIS is a vintage Polaroid-style camera built around Dynamic Island interaction. It brings together pull-to-shoot gestures, film color, tactile feedback, Shortcuts support, and an infinite canvas, turning every casual shot into a photography ritual with real emotional value.
Pull down gently from below the Dynamic Island and the viewfinder unfolds from the Dynamic Island. Release to press the shutter, and your photo slowly ejects with crisp sound and subtle haptics. The image is not completed instantly; it develops gradually like a real Polaroid, then drifts onto your canvas as a vintage photo you can drag, scale, and arrange.
Key Features:
Dynamic Island Pull-Down — Tactile Camera
· Use a weighted pull-down gesture to quickly bring up the camera and catch ideas before they fade.
· On the home screen, press and drag downward from just below the Dynamic Island to reveal the camera; release, then tap the shutter to finish the shot.
Film Color Series — Choose a Mood for Your Photos
· Five built-in film color series offer warm gold, cool cinematic, low-saturation mood, artistic high-saturation, and classic film simulation styles.
· Swipe left or right in the viewfinder to switch color effects and give the same shot different vintage atmospheres.
Polaroid Development — Ritual Waiting
· Every photo ejects from the Dynamic Island like a real instant print and slowly develops on the canvas.
· After shooting or importing, wait a few seconds while the image shifts from a gray sensitive state into its final retro film color.
Pin Lock and Unlock — Free-Moving Cards
· Photos and background cards can be pinned in place to avoid accidental movement while you scroll the canvas.
· Long-press the photo or background card until you feel a subtle haptic pulse, then pull to unlock. Once unlocked, you can move it with one finger or pinch and rotate with two; when you’re done, long-press the photo or background card again to pin it back in place.
Trash Bin Removal — Intuitive Photo Deletion
· Like tidying up real prints, just drag unwanted photos straight into the trash.
· First long-press the photo or background card to unlock it, then drag the card to the bottom of the screen. When the trash bin appears, release to remove the card from the canvas.
Canvas Overview and Recenter — Bottom-Left Mini Map
· Quickly see how your photos are distributed across the freeform canvas, and jump back to center when you get lost.
· The preview box in the bottom left updates in real time to show every card’s position on the canvas; long-press it to snap the view back to the center.
Double-Tap Export — Freeze the Collage
· No cropping needed — export the entire finished canvas as a high-resolution image in one shot.
· Double-tap any empty area of the canvas to export the current view and save it to Photos.
Background Card Import — Build a Personal Scrapbook
· Import images or other visuals from your photo library as a canvas backdrop, then layer your shots on top.
· When the home screen is idle, tap the “+” button in the lower-right corner to open Photos and import a large background card.
Shortcuts Fast Trigger — iOS Shortcuts Support
· Bring CHROMIS shooting into iOS Shortcuts, widgets, or lock screen shortcuts.
· Search for CHROMIS in the iOS Shortcuts app to set it up as an automation and launch or trigger capture with one tap.
