Maya – all-in-one digital bank 17+

Ever since the platform upgraded its Ui/Ux the whole system just became problematic. The vouchers are now almost non-existent almost like they’re running a scam. Before, when you satisfy the conditions of the cashback vouchers, you instantly receive it. Now they changed their guideline to say you will have to wait 14 business days from the time of transaction or up to 14 business after the promo period which does not make any sense at all. And even when you wait, the vouchers will not be sent until you forget about it. I have filed a complaint and they say they are still investigating it. Investigate what? This is their promo. They set the guideline. They do not deliver so now it becomes the problem of their customer. Also when you try cashing it from your linked bank account, around 80% of the time the transaction will fail and would require you to unlink/link back your account which is too tedious. Their chat support also are a bunch of slackers. When you get them on chat they would purposely not reply to you until the whole chat window times out. Like they dont follow any QA process. Fix your issues Paymaya. You are dealing with peoples hard earned money.

Comeon this is related to people’s money. It has to be perfect. I tried donating money for covid then I checked out, then it asks me to enter my credentials again to pay via paymaya wallet. Why?? I am already using the app which I am already logged in. Let’s say that is a security feature.. you have to make it clear for the users that transaction is asking for credentials for revalidation purposes only or simply explain and display the reason why I am being asked for my credentials again! That is plain common sense or else it feels like I am being redirected to a hoax site that will phish my money and have it wired to some criminal scheme. Make your app trustworthy, really! So I entered my credentials on ‘that’ then nothing happened no error message whatsoever just reloaded the page and had my credentials removed and I dont know what’s going on! Suddenly OTP notification was sent to my number and I dont know why!!! Am I expecting that??? What was tthe OTP for? I have absolutely no idea because your app isn’t designed smart enough. Guysss comeon.. who ever did this... lacks customer’s point of view. Update your UX. should i try using your app for making donations? I dont know.

I cashed in Php5k to pay for a full tank gas, I ended up receiving the money from my bank to Maya after a few days. Money got deducted from my bank account instantly. So it was an inconvenience. I need to find other ways to pay for the gas. I gave it a chance, I still try to use it. I even availed of the physical card. I tried paying at Starbucks, they did not honor it, then I tried the app to pay, it also did not work. And this is where my patience ended, yesterday I cashed in Php20k from my bank to Maya, it failed. I tried again and failed for the second time. Then I thought of checking my bank, 40k already deducted. I was going to pay my bills, a big one due today and more dues for the next couple of days. I called Maya hotline, and all they can do for me was to make we wait for 3 banking days. I did the transaction on Saturday, banking day will start on Monday. So hello late fees! I thought things are okay now since you launched this fancy advertising using Hope Soberano. Work on your service first. Thanks a lot Maya, you are very successful giving people a headache. After this review, I’ll need to find money so I can pay for my dues.
