more New: Pay GCash, get verified instantly
When a business has auto-verify turned on, paying with GCash is now one tap from inside the app. You will not have to upload a screenshot or wait for staff to check your receipt. Your order moves from Awaiting Payment to Confirmed the moment the payment lands.
Coming back to the app after paying is now automatic too. The post-payment screen knows you are done, clears the Payment Required banner, and drops you on the order tracking page so you can watch your food get prepared.
Behind the scenes:
- HitPay-powered GCash checkout opens in a secure in-app browser, hands off to the GCash app, and brings you back without leaving Nom404
- Order-tracking and payment-status screens now share the same payment-method picker, so what you see on one screen always matches the other
- Stale Payment Required banners on already-paid orders are cleared on app reopen
Manual payment proof upload is still available for businesses that prefer it. Cash payment, GCash with manual proof, Maya, and bank transfer all continue to work exactly as before.

New: Delete your Nom404 account anytime
You can now request account deletion directly from the app, no support email required. Tap your profile, choose Delete Account, and we will schedule your data for permanent removal after a 30-day grace period. Change your mind during that window and a single tap restores everything.
Receipts already issued by businesses remain in their books for tax purposes, as required by Philippine bookkeeping rules.
Apple App Store guideline 5.1.1(v) compliance: self-serve account deletion without contacting support.
Also in this update:
- Polished post-order tracking flow with clearer next-step prompts
- Single-branch businesses hide the branch picker for a cleaner ordering experience
- Stricter name validation at checkout reduces typos on receipts

Cashback rewards just got a lot more useful, and your guest order link is now safer.
Cashback now has an honest expiry, a clear cap per order, and works inside seasonal campaigns. Every cashback earn, redeem, and reversal is now tracked on the order it came from so refunds don't leave dangling balance.
When you order as a guest, your order link is now protected by an opaque ownership token instead of a device ID. Cleaner, harder to guess, and easier to share without exposing anything.
Behind the scenes, time-based menu availability and a few loyalty receipt fixes round out the release.

A new home screen and a refreshed visual system across the app.
The home screen is now organized around what you actually do. Search and a soft filter sit at the top, your rewards progress sits front and center, and "Order again" surfaces the shops and items you go back to. Favorites are easier to scan, and Popular Nearby shows rating, distance, and whether each shop is open right now.
A new Nom Design System rolls out app-wide, so every screen uses the same type scale, spacing, and color palette. Things should feel more coherent as you move between sections.
A few smaller fixes: wide cafe wordmarks no longer get cropped, and behind the scenes the way we record paid subscriptions is tighter so revenue numbers stay accurate.
1.7.5 12 May
A top-to-bottom design refresh for the screens you live in most.
The cart is now a clean stack of floating cards with a sticky Place Order at the bottom. The product detail page leads with the photo, the price, and a quantity stepper so you can adjust right where you decided to order. Customizations come next, with the relevant info you need before adding to cart, then reviews.
Order tracking got the biggest glow-up. While the kitchen is preparing your order, a live MM:SS countdown hero sits above the progress stepper so you always know roughly how long is left. The order placed, payment, payment pending, and pickup-celebration screens were all redesigned to match.
We also tightened a few things behind the scenes for security so your account and order data stay safer. Nothing changes in how you use the app.
A handful of smaller refreshes too: the orders tab uses a unified row card across active and history, fulfillment options got bigger cards with a step indicator, allergies & dietary preferences got a cleaner layout, and the profile and activity screens were redesigned.
1.7.4 11 May
Promo code redemption is friendlier this update.
When a promo or voucher can't be redeemed, the message now appears right under the promo field instead of a banner that covered the Place Order button. The banner used to outlive the screen and follow you to Home. Not anymore.
If the first tap on Apply silently fails, the app now retries automatically before showing an error. That removes the "tap twice and it works" oddity testers reported on first-of-the-day orders.
A few smaller polish items: the cart no longer asks where you want your order twice in a row, the branch confirmation only appears when there is actually more than one branch to confuse, and our app icon got a refresh so push notifications and the home screen finally match the new look.
1.7.3 11 May
Voucher fixes from your feedback.
When a cafe gives you a free drink voucher, you now actually get the drink for free — picking a Large size or adding extras no longer charges you the difference. Order tracking and your receipt now show "Voucher: Iced Latte" (or whichever item the voucher unlocked) so you see exactly what you redeemed.
If your voucher is for any of several drinks, we ask you to pick before adding to cart. And if the drink needs a choice (Hot, Iced, Blended for example), we ask once instead of failing at checkout with a vague error.
Small extras: clearer error messages at checkout when something is off, and the close button + flashlight icon on the QR scanner now show up properly in dark mode.
1.7.2 8 May
Two small fixes from your feedback.
Cafes that stay open past midnight (think 6pm to midnight, or 10pm to 2am) now correctly read as Open during their late hours instead of incorrectly looking Closed once the clock ticks past 12.
We also removed an Edit Order button on the order tracking screen that did not actually let you edit anything. If you need to change a pending order, cancel it and reorder. A proper edit flow is on the way.
1.7.1 6 May
Reliability boost in this release.
Sign-in is now rock-solid on every device. We fixed a stability issue that occasionally kept the app on the splash screen for some users. Review photos upload smoothly across all devices, and the Popular section on each cafes menu now reflects what is actually trending right now.
Smaller polish:
- Clearer messages when sign-in fails so you know exactly what to do.
- Faster app launch on Android.
- A handful of payment-proof submission edge cases cleaned up.
1.7.0 4 May
Menu photos now load from a faster image network, so browsing feels noticeably snappier on slower connections.
Payment proofs upload smaller and quicker. Photos are automatically right-sized on your phone before sending, so you save mobile data.
Under-the-hood reliability improvements across image loading and upload.
1.6.3 3 May
Small fixes to make ordering and onboarding smoother.
- The new-user allergy setup screen now scrolls on smaller phones, so adding multiple custom allergens no longer hides the Continue button.
- Custom allergens you add show up correctly in kitchen allergen banners at the businesses you order from.
- Cleaner layout for the copy-account box when paying via GCash, Maya, and other wallets.
- Faster, more reliable deep links from QR codes back to the app.
1.6.1 20 Apr
Tip the team that serves you, and a receipt that actually earns its name.
Leave a tip at checkout with a quick tap. Choose 10, 15, or 20 percent, or type any amount you like. Every peso goes straight to the business.
Your order receipt now shows everything you need to keep it as proof of purchase. See the business address and phone number, the order type with your table number when dining in, and the name of the staff member who served you. Digital payments show the method and reference number so you can match it against your GCash or Maya history.
Tap the new Download button to save the receipt as an image to your Photos, organized in a Nom404 album.
1.6.0 18 Apr
A refreshed look and a more reliable order flow.
We redesigned our logo and refreshed the typography across the app with a custom Oak Sans typeface. The splash, home, receipt, and launcher icons all reflect the new Nom404 brand.
Receipts now include a clear Back to Home button so you can return to browsing after viewing your order.
Safer payments: once a business has verified your payment, cancellation is no longer possible, preventing accidental cancels after you have already paid.
Custom allergens: if your allergen is not on the standard list, add your own with the Others free-text field in your dietary profile.
Also in this update:
- Business names display consistently in title case across every screen
- Order timer now shows only during preparation and reflects the real prep time
- Cleaner cart: special instructions moved to checkout where they belong
- Clearer payment instructions for GCash and Maya QR screenshots
- Persistent View Cart banner while you browse
- Skip button on the sign-up prompt so guests can proceed without creating an account
1.5.0 17 Apr
Nom404 now keeps you safer with a complete allergen and dietary profile system.
Save your food allergies and dietary preferences in your profile. The app will warn you when items in your cart contain allergens you flagged, with a clear notice before checkout so you can make informed choices.
Browse menus faster with the new allergen filter. Tap the shield icon to hide items that contain your allergens and see a "Safe" badge on items that are clear for you.
Businesses can now set custom allergen disclaimers, and kitchen staff receive instant alerts when orders come from customers with food allergies.
Other improvements:
- Required customizations (like drink temperature) must be selected before adding to cart
- Reordering from your history now preserves all your previous selections
- Staff presence detection ensures orders only go through when the business is ready
- Various stability and performance fixes

New: Allergen Safety and Modification Management
Know what is in your food before you order. Every menu item now shows allergen and dietary tags so you can see at a glance if it contains dairy, nuts, gluten, or other common allergens.
Set up your allergen profile once and get automatic warnings when browsing items that match your sensitivities. New users are guided through a quick two-step setup during onboarding.
When ordering, choose exactly what you want changed. Remove ingredients like mayo or cheese with a single tap. Substitute items like regular milk for oat milk or soy milk. The business sees your requests clearly and responds to each one individually.
Track the status of every modification in real time. See which requests were accepted and which could not be fulfilled, with a clear reason from the business.
