Incredible app!

I am seriously blown away with this app. I love the amount of default brushes it comes with and how we’re able to use any of them with the eraser and smudge tool as well.A suggestion I would give though, is maybe give an option to keep the layers panel open. I just find myself tapping it multiple times to check if I’m on the right layer. It’s not bad but it certainly adds effort to just see if you’re on the right layer. Another is maybe an option to have the tools on one side with the brush size and opacity panel with the undo/redo buttons. It would be way more convenient if we can use our other hand to tap the tools there instead of having our drawing hand have to go to the top corner of the screen. Like for me, for example, since I’m right handed I have my left always holding on to the left side of the tablet so I can undo/redo and change brush sizes easily. It would be great if all the tool where there as well so I won’t need to tap it with the pen on my right. And, of course, vise versa for left-handed users. Other than that it is a great app. Been using it full-time for over a week now. :)

Hi rusinstein – thanks so much for sharing your feedback, it's fantastic to hear that you're enjoying using Procreate! It is possible to change which side of the canvas the Sidebar sits on by heading to Actions > Prefs and toggling on/off Right-hand interface. You could also try enabling Layer Select by heading to Actions (wrench icon) > Prefs > Gesture controls > Layer Select and choosing one of the available options to invoke the Layers menu using a gesture. 😄
Simple, but Amazing

I’ve been using Procreate for quite a while now, and what it could do back then was amazing, even moreso now. Reading their entire handbook, there’s a ton you can do, and it knows how to give you optimized experiences. I’m only using an iPad Gen 6, so I couldn’t exploit its other functions, but it does make it clear with what I can do it, doesn’t let me do too much, like create too many layers, to the point that the app will crash, etc. There’s only 3 main tools, but it does allow you to use different brushes with them, and edit said brushes, so there’s much more you can do than it seems. There are also other functions, such as gaussian blurs, drawing guides, your usual select, move, copy, paste, fill, etc., for ease and automation.I am certainly very happy with it throughout the years, got a lot of it and it certainly is a cheap purchase. Sometimes I wish I could buy something else to help further. My only qualms with it is some gestures aren’t editable, such as the quick pinch for zoom; quite often it triggers when I’m just trying to drag the canvas. For request, I hope we get vectors even for just outlines someday.

Amazing and gets the job done 👌🏻

Most of my workflows, be it video editing, animation, motion graphics, or architectural planning, always includes this app. It’s so fast and convenient to use, and it amazes me how everything can fit into this app into my iPad. To be honest, the reason why I bought an iPad and the apple pencil was because of this app 😅 nothing compares to the fluidity it brings and I’m even thinking of upgrading my tablet to a bigger screen to fully maximize the app’s capabilities 😂However, just recently I stumbled upon an issue with how procreate translates my apple pencil’s pressure and movement. There are specific angles when I try to make a straight line, but then it gets so squiggly and so curly. I tried to look it up at the sensitivity settings, but i found no issue there. When I googled it up, no one seems to have had a similar experience. This really disturbed the “workflow” ive started to adapt to, and it bothers me so much that I’ve written a review about it. I hope the developers see this.

Hey there - thank you for the review and the support for Procreate. We're definitely paying attention, and we want to help you out with this strange Apple Pencil trouble you've been facing. If you head to support.procreate.art and fill out the Support Form with some details and/or a video, we'll help you out however we can.
OK. We went too far. This update sharpens the corners of your Gallery thumbnails. It also calms down the height of Animation and Page Assist and fixes an issue in 3D painting where you couldn't import meshes without normals.
Remember that all your custom brushes are available in the Classic Library by pinching the brush panel, or tapping the Procreate Library title.
