Fio means “to become” in Latin, and that’s exactly what this fitness app aims to do – empower you in your journey to reach whatever goal you set for yourself.

Forget ultra-hard workouts and demanding routines that require more discipline than any of us have. This app, fronted by Malaysian fitness personality Joanna Soh, is here to make fitness accessible on every level.

The core of each month-long programme is a formula called 3-2-1-FIT, a daily routine that consists of a 30-minute workout, a 20-minute recipe and a 10-minute mindset exercise divided into two 5-minute videos for both morning and evening.

The balance of elements is really well done, helping you understand the importance of thinking about your body and mind equally. While the workouts help you improve your physical fitness, the mindset exercises focus on healthy body image or easy breathing techniques that will help you improve your mental health, too.

And the best part is that rest days are thoughtfully factored into the programmes as well.

Fio also provides you with prep-friendly meal plans. Make your own Asian comfort food like crispy seaweed popiah, or use inexpensive ingredients like tempeh for a healthy snack. With the app’s help you can make sure that you’re on the right nutrition track without losing the “tasty”.

If you’re not ready to fully commit to a programme yet, you can try any of the workouts individually. Remember? It’s all about finding your own pace.

With Fio, getting fit doesn’t feel impossibly difficult anymore. To get a taste of what that feels like, try the free trial before investing in a subscription.
