You can now choose whether to share usage stats to help improve ScholarWidget. You're asked once, nothing is shared unless you say yes, and you can change your answer in Settings at any time. Your Scholar profile and citations are never included.

Fixed: the citation stats on the app's main screen now match your widget when you come back to the app, instead of showing the numbers from the last time you had it open.

Fixed: tapping a paper in My Publications now opens that paper. Previously the screen would transition and land straight back on the list, and the paper was only reachable by pressing Back.

Fixed: tapping a paper in My Publications now opens that paper, and Back returns to your list instead of the main screen. New: sort My Publications by year, not just by citation count. Fixed: "Recent citing papers" no longer stalls and fails when Google Scholar is slow to answer. Citation alerts are now more likely to name the paper that cited you, rather than just the count.

New: Lock Screen widgets — your citation count and h-index on the Lock Screen (and in StandBy). New: My Publications — your papers with their citation counts, and (with Fast Updates) the most recent papers citing each one. New: Milestone alerts for everyone — a notification when your citations cross a milestone, your h-index goes up, or your i10-index hits a new mark. New: Share a card of your metrics. New: Yearly and lifetime options for Fast Updates.

New: Recent Citations — a history of every citation alert, right in the app. Tap a citation alert to see the cited paper, who cited it, and open it on Google Scholar without leaving the app. Fixed: tapping a citation alert notification could crash the app.

New: Citation Alerts (Fast Updates subscribers) — get a push notification when a new paper cites your work, with the citing paper shown in the expanded notification.

New: "Open My Scholar Profile" button — jump straight to your Google Scholar profile from the app. Fixed: subscribers no longer see the upgrade prompt flash briefly when the app opens.

New: Fast Updates subscription — your widget can refresh every 4 hours. Free widgets now update weekly.
