I’m a video artist, also working in film making and commercials. I have tried many programs – some were better some worse. This one shocked me! It’s intuitive, quick with render and precise with previews. Gives me total (but easy and again – intuitive) control over colors, contrast and motion.
This is the best spent money in many years. Really, I highly recommend it to both proffesionals and amateurs.
With FCPX, Apple tried to reinvent the wheel. Unfortunately, in doing this they dumped a lot of the user-intuitive aspects that other applications had retained the by imitating tradtional film and video editing methods. As a professional editor with over 30 years experience, unlike other non-linear editing systems, FCPX has taken me a long time to get used to but, having said that, I acknowledge that it's made very good use of the evolving architecture of Apple's machines. Today I give it 4 stars for it's usefulness. With a better interface it would have deserved 5 stars but it's too late for that.
UPDATE - restart with cmd alt - reset preferences. Undo doesn't work. cmd w moves playhead to the end of timeline. Color finale works, but sometimes even a small change requires rendering.
cmd Shift V paste your settings from another clip and moves it onto previous clip, without cut. BUG on BUG on BUG
This is a trully great software for efficient editing but support is not great. Bugs like missing plugin error where you need to relink files and restart FCPX each time you open a project are not being fixed. But still love the product.
I work with final cut for more then 10 years now and i must say its the best expirience i workflow for me that i need to get my work done and have satisfied clients!
I love how easy and intuitive is Final Cut Pro. Still lacks some basics, like adjustable keyframe easing, but I believe it's just a matter of time :)
Its good to see that whole industry is moving forward. I like FCP but i think app is just going to be left behind if devs will not add some new features.

Could you just make the Spire/Indicator in the Browser more visible, please! I always loose it.
Last version is terrible!
I switched off all reenders function and in last version still not enough memory for application (even I do nothing.
Thew worst authors do nothing with this well known problem.
Till they do not repair this bug don’t buy FCPX! You loose money and time.
I have updated to version 10.3.4 and it crashes every time I am trying to edit a simple cut. Looses ability to operate on timeline, cannot zoom in or zoom out and timeline just dissapears!
Is just bug or Final Cut just got to Apple State of Mind? and all that matters is purchasing but no more development or support?
