Welcome to the HappyMums App, crafted as part of the EU research project HappyMums (https://www.happymums.eu/), dedicated to the understanding of depression in pregnancy to improve mothers and offspring mental health outcomes.
This app is designed to be used into a clinical trial in different centers across Europe and it leverages smartphone sensors to gather valuable insights into mobility, physical activity, sociability and sleep patterns of the end user. Through in-app activities implementing features such as voice/video recording, text input and spontaneous data entry, the app aims to analyze user interactions to extract valuable parameters related to mental well-being. Additionally, users can engage with questionnaires and tests used in clinical practice that will be made available inside the app at specific moments along pregnancy and that will be monitored by clinical researchers of the HappyMums project. The app also offers a course providing information on mental well-being during pregnancy. The course is a digital adaptation of material from trusted sources and was designed by mental health professionals.
The use of the app is allowed only to enrolled participants in the study by means of devoted credentials issued by the clinical center in charge of the recruitment at national level.
The study protocol has been approved by the relevant ethical committees.
