A two-player pricing rivalry inspired by the prisoner's dilemma.
Your friend has a lemonade stand. So do you. There are only ten customers—and neither of you knows what the other will charge.
Choose a price, serve original or strawberry lemonade, and decide whether protection is worth the cost. Undercut your rival to win the crowd, or risk a higher price for a better margin. Twice per match, try the Hail Meyer: an $8 cup that can turn a round around.
TWO PLAYERS, TWO DEVICES
Create a room and share its six-letter code or invitation link. A friend can join through the browser game on another device. Both players need internet. There is no solo, offline or same-device pass-and-play mode. Anyone with the code can take an open seat, so share it privately.
SIX ROUNDS OF SECOND-GUESSING
Lock your choices in secret, then reveal together. Earnings receipts explain each result. Round history helps you spot patterns, and mutual rematches let you try a new approach.
A LITTLE ECONOMICS, A LOT OF RIVALRY
A lemonade-stand rivalry introduces game theory through play. The educator note offers discussion prompts about trust, incentives and the prisoner’s dilemma.
No advertising, in-game purchases or player accounts. Choose from preset stand names; there is no player chat or free-text name entry. Room/session identifiers and gameplay data are processed to run multiplayer.
Internet access and an operating online service are required for every match. Holman Lane Publishing, LLC does not promise to host, operate, maintain, support, update or offer the game and its online services indefinitely. They may be discontinued, subject to applicable law and platform requirements. If the required online service ends, the game becomes unplayable, including installed app versions. Mandatory consumer rights and platform remedies still apply.
