Many keyboards are boring. Some track what you type. Plenty just don't work. Klava ain’t any of that. Klava keyboard brings together smart above-key predictions, stunning themes, sick features and rock-solid privacy. And a bunch of other cool stuff (that you can customise or turn on / off).
What Klava has that others don’t:
- Smart above-key suggestions that you can flick up. Like the good ol’ BlackBerry days
- Privacy. Klava learns as you type, but what you type doesn’t ever leave the device. As it should be. Keep what's yours, we don't want to know that!
- Beautiful themes, each with unique features. We got sleek modern themes. We got nostalgic themes, true classics even. We got more themes cooking as you are reading this
- Gestures that feel awesome. Our favourite: swipe left across the keyboard to delete words
- Navigate text with Cursor Mode via WASD. It’s super nice
- Built-in emojis. What’s more, type things like :) or :phone to get an instant emoji suggestion. Truly :fire (can't put emojis here, imagine one!)
- You can switch keyboard layouts by simply holding the spacebar, smooth as heck
- We could go on, but that’s probably enough for the App Store page. Last thing: we are releasing major updates for Klava at least every month, so expect more themes, features, languages and just plain new & nice stuff regularly

A MASSIVE Klava update be upon thee! TL;DR: Metro8 theme is out! Set custom suggestion colours! One new engine, two new languages! Klava is lighter than ever! Typo correction! Theme improvements, and so on!
What’s new:
- Metro8: a brand new, awesome, minimalistic theme inspired by WP8 – type like that brief period of time in 2012-2017.
- Suggestions: customise suggestion colours for each theme! Use presets or pick a bespoke colour for both light and dark modes!
- Autocorrect: Better typo correction, especially for adjacent keys and word separation. You revert the original word via backspace, and turn autocorrect on/off. You’re wekcome → welcome!
- Languages: Czech got its own predictive engine now! Vietnamese & Thai (4-row) added as layout-only languages (for now). To je skvělé! Tuyệt vời! เยี่ยมไปเลย!
- Size: Keyboard size decrease (163MB → 57MB). How? Magic and some grind!
- Cursor Mode: you can change the Cursor Mode to be toggled on by double-tapping the 123 key now (tap info icon in the Features tab to configure)
- Apostrophes: Better apostrophe handling. I’ll beats ill, as it should
- Themes: slightly adjusted the positioning of all themes to reduce the keyboard’s footprint
- Onboarding: made it clearer that while beneficial, Full Access is NOT required for Klava. Klava is already collecting zero data, but if you don’t trust that – we don’t judge you! Just bypass the Full Access setup and still get to enjoy most of Klava!
- Compatibility: improved visuals on iPhose SEs and iPads running iPhone apps
- Other: general improvements & optimisations to make the keyboard feel a bit smoother & smarter
