Poor experience
- Doesn't stop PUSH notifications on mobile
- Seems to be web based, rather slow
- No Apple Silicon support
- Some features doesn't work (sharing pictures for example), and the only way of error recovery is the app restart, which doesn't solve anything
- Sometimes conversation is scrolled to random place instead of the newest message that I left the conversation between switching to another one
It's cool, but...
The app is very usefull, because it's easier to chat without using your web browser. But I would suggest some changes in notofications. There should be a possibility to change the tone of notifications, the one now is very oldschool. What is more, it would be better if the icon of the notification was the profile pic of the person who is sending a message rather than the icon of Messenger itself. I know it's just my opinion, but maybe consider those changes. Greetings :)
Is it that hard to optimalize the Messenger app, Meta?
I'm so done of it. It's been almost 2 years since macOS Ventura has revealed, and they still cannot make Messenger work properly. Videos aren't loading for me, sometimes I even have a problems with sending files. Chat history is hiding while messaging, so I can't even read older messages. Same thing with searching for them, I have to wait a few minutes to search just a one message almost every time. I hope they'll fix this buggy bs soon. By now, I'm gonna switch to a browser version. I'm done.
