Freezing on macOS Sonoma when doing huddle
Ston1x
Whenever a huddle happens and I'm trying to join it, the app freezes for at least 15-20 seconds and does not respond at all so I can't use huddles with the app at all.The solution is to use it from the web browser (there's been a Chrome/Chromium bug that is related to some macOS apps freezing, and the version after October 25 fixes it, so using huddles from the web browser which has a newer Chromium version (if it's Chromium-based) makes huddles work.

Usability and performance disaster
паиорасв
Slow as snail, lacks essential functionality that was in messangers back in 90s and makes only mess in contacts and channels.Maybe it works for companies of 5-10 people, but for large organisations this tool is a pain. I wrote feature requests to the support team many times, but hear only "thank you, we will pass your message to the development team". So what makes my work problematic with slack: a) no way to organise contacts. There is nothing like "contacts" in the slack. I have to have a PAPER NOTE with names and slack nicks of people whom I need to know. Thank you vey much! awesome usability feature; b) No way to sort DM's manually. I can create "groups" and assign DMs and channels there, but I can't change order of them in the group; c) I can't open two windows with chats simultaneously. When I need to copy something from one chat to another I need to use cmd-k to open history and switch to the other chat. 110% productivty! d) There is no local copy of chats. Or actually it is but in some provate DB format so I can't make a readable archive of messages. The only way to make replica is to take screenshots from channels or copy-paste to the word files. e) Scrollback in channels downloads messages as you scroll. So I have to strike pageup and wait for download, strike again and wait. And after that it still doesn't have fast cache. If I scroll down it again takes a seconf or two to render next page; f) There is no embedded screenshotting tool. Basically win and mac have screenshoting tools, but it's not easy to take a screenshot and make some markup or write text there; g) no way to have custom gif or emoji library. Every time I want to reply to someone with a meme I need to go to the google and screenshot the picture. gifs only exist as an integration with third paty sites. And many more less annoying issues... It's disaster. I wish I can switch to the other messanger, but it's a company policy

Our company moved here from Skype, thank you for the app. There are few things, which make our work difficult. 1. In a conversation between several people, everything merges into one large text block - without color distinctions, highlights, etc. 2. Read confirmations - we need to see in real time who has read the message - this makes work much easier. 3. Replying to a message in the same window so everyone can see it - without unnecessary transfer to threads that we don't think are necessary. If I need to talk to someone, I write it directly. These changes would make world a better place..
Used to be great

Used to love the app. It was simpler and worked like a charm.Since a year or two everything changed and app is slow and often crashing. It feels like there's a bunch of product owners who are trying to create new features (that nobody needs) without thinking about performance impact.Tip for slack: You can fire whoever made this app slow and unreliable and focus on trimming and improving user experience and performance.
