O do not recommend
unfortunately the application gives very wrong results. I got up only to the toilet and the kitchen, counted the steps - 23, the application shows 217. During the day it shows the results from space: / I miss Moves application, which was very accurate. Unfortunately, I wasted my money with you.

thanks for your important feedback and I'm sorry that you ran into issues.
How StepsApp works in generell:
StepsApps uses your iPhone's built-in pedometer to track your steps. Just put it in your pocket and you should be fine.
If you carry your iPhone in your handbag, backpack, or in your baby buggy, your iPhone might not be able to track all of your steps correctly.
Likewise when you go for a bike ride, your iPhone might misinterpret some of your pedal strokes as steps.
This happens because pedometers calculate steps based on vibration patterns.

App completely broken
All this app does is displaying this message: Please enable Motion & Fitness for this application. Open Settings App > Privacy > Motion & Fitness. There is no Privacy in the Settings app - there is Privacy & Security, and there is no Motion & Fitness under Privacy & Security. I searched for Motion & Fitness in settings, but there is no such setting. The app also displays a Settings button that takes you to this app Settings page. Nothing regarding Motion or Fitness there. Completely useless as there is no way to skip this step and open the app's interface.

The “Motion & Fitness” setting can be found under the “Privacy & Security” setting, as mentioned in the pop-up message (Ruch i sprawność in Polish language).
This setting is very important to enable in order to record all of your steps accurately. However, should be shown only once.
If you are facing issues, please do not hesitate to reach out via help@steps.app, we will offer further detailed support in order to solve the issue.
Step counting delay sometimes
Apart from that I really appreciate the whole stuff. I would love it could also count my treadmill running activity as well. I am not doing it with my iPhone in my pocket or arm so I would love I could download my step counts and distance onto some apps (GymGoal Pro) from StepsApp or vice versa.

thank you for your message. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues.
This is a bug of the Apple Health App:
Since the iOS 12 update, Apple Health doesn't sync distance data correctly. We already reported this to Apple and will soon release an app Update, which will solve this issue.
For now switching off Apple Health sync should solve your problem:
-open StepsApp
-open Settings
-find Apple Health cell
-turn Off Synchronize Activities
