While I like it and use it (and nothing really compares to this app on iOS, trust me), there're couple of things I really miss or would love to have:1. syntax autocomplete – just like emmet cheat sheet, which is great, but at least for:1.1. CSS property values (and justify-content property -> I don't know why it doesn't appear on the list..)1.2. if I have i.e. an already defined class -> an autofill option while writing in HTML1.3. at least in .css files -> when I type a selector and press tab to automatically add {} brackets with one empty line between them and indentation2. symbols list including HTML class values and [attributes]3. option to see additional keys only if I'm currently using the software keyboard4. keyboard shortcut to easily comment out code (e.g. cmd + / )5. option to define my own snippets despite emmet library, system shortcuts, and TextExpander6. possibility to copy files (like images) to the Textastic folder using Files app. Right now it is impossible and I can only add photos to project folders by either importing them in .zip files or importing from Photos app, which is very slow7. an option to see the RGB/RGBA/HSL/etc. color in a tooltip or somewhere else when the text cursor is on the code, e.g. hex code8. an option to highlight/mark the open and close tags, when editing html file -> especially useful when there's a lot of content inside8.1. additionally, if the open tag is missing a closing tag, mark it in red/other visible color, e.g. where the line number is displayed9. ability to confirm (e.g. when creating a new file/folder/etc.) by tapping enter/return button on a physical keyboard10. ability to go to next/previous result in "find/replace" function (e.g. by enter/return and shift+enter/return)
From hero to zero

I used Textastic for 12 years on macOS and on iOS since it was available. I absolutely loved it for the simplicity! Now the dev got greedy and switched to a subscription model. Yeah, subscription to a text editor. It's such a shame to leave app this good, but I would feel like a madman if I even considered paying monthly for what is essentially a text editor.Edit: developer responded that I keep my lifetime or version if I bought the app before pricing change which is just not true. I bought the full version of Textastic, but since the old version has different App ID the restore purchase doesn't work. As far as App Store is concerned it's a totally different app, even tho it has same name.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback. To clarify: if you purchased Textastic before the pricing change, you’ll keep access to all existing features permanently. The new model gives new users a free 7-day trial and the choice between a subscription or a one-time purchase. This helps ensure I can continue developing Textastic sustainably, with regular updates and improvements.
Great, but still not the best editor I have ever seen

That editor is the best editor on iPad I have ever seen. One of the biggest pluses of the Textastic is option of operating in folders, a lot of supported language and great theme. Textastic is smooth too.Anyway I would love to see here Intellisense.
Unusable

Bigger files with some non-broken lines? Top performance iPad Pro 11 just freezees. In addition, even if the file is handled in a way not freezing my iPad (still, naming it „smooth” would be a lie...), there is an invisible barrier limiting me from scrolling below some point in a file. An invisible file size limit. What the hell? This completely disqualifies the software for my purporses.
- On iPad, files opened via “Open With” > Textastic in the Files app or “Open” in Working Copy now open as new tabs in an existing Textastic window instead of always opening a new window.
- On iPad, window titles now update correctly after opening files.
- The special folder icon with a gear for the #Textastic folder is now only shown for the #Textastic folder in “Local Files.”
