*** New Behavior (v 1.13.0) and bug fix (v 1.13.1) *** v 1.13.0 In Add Points mode, you now tap (you don't drag) to add points. Afterwards you may move your newly created points (and other points too) using Move Points mode. Why the change? In the previous version of 4D Draw, you could create a new point and drag it, all with a single gesture. This approach still works fine on iOS 26, but unfortunately on iOS 27 it produces two points instead of one. The new approach works correctly on all supported versions of iOS and macOS. v 1.13.1 Bug fix: When running on iOS 27, version 1.13.0 of 4D Draw (which was the current version from 20 September to 9 October 2026) would duplicate all drawing elements when saving a drawing, leading to files that were much larger and slower than necessary. Version 1.13.1 corrects that bug. Users may wish to reconstruct (or manually edit) any drawings that they modified during those two-and-a-half weeks. Please accept my sincere apologies for that inconvenience. Note that users running iOS 26 were completely unaffected.

– Revised code for selecting and dragging points. Optionally displays the selected point’s coordinates. – Minor changes for better legibility on iOS/iPadOS/macOS 26.

– 4D Draw runs on iOS, iPadOS and now on macOS too. The file format is the same, so you can view and edit your drawings on all three platforms interchangeably. – Press and hold a drawing's icon in the 4D Draw file browser on iOS to share its vector-graphic source code by Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or Save to Files. On macOS you can send the .draw4d file in those same ways, by selecting it within the relevant apps. – Share PNG images of your drawings in all ways imaginable: Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Save to Files, Copy, and others. – Updated for iOS 17+ – Note: iOS's document picker sometimes leaves a spinning wait cursor visible over the icon of a recently saved drawing. It's annoying but harmless — your drawing really has been saved and you can ignore that wait cursor which will go away when you re-open that drawing or another one.

Re-compiled for iOS 18.1 compatibility

Removes temporary code needed to work around a bug in iOS 17.0.x. This new version runs correctly on iOS 15, 16 and 17.1 or later.

– Adjusted navigation bar for iOS 17 compatibility. – When running on iOS 17, the navigation bar includes a drop-down menu that lets you • export your drawing's source code • rename your drawing (However, on iOS 17.0.2 the navigation bar sometimes reverts to the old name.) – Saves exported images to folder "Exported Images/{drawing name}/". – Optionally exports drawings with transparent background.
