This update makes advanced search even more advanced with operators for filters

• Advanced Search: You can now use OR, grouping, and filters directly in your searches. For example:
– "meeting -(work meetup)" → finds “meeting” but excludes lines with both “work” and “meetup”
– "seneca OR marcus -aurelius" → finds “Seneca” or “Marcus”, but not “Marcus Aurelius”
– "source:calendar is:open date:this-month" → lists all open calendar tasks this month

Search also runs faster, both in the main search view and folder view.

• Named Folder Views: Access your saved folder views directly from the Command Bar or via x-callback-URLs. It’s now much quicker to jump back to your favorite filters.

Other Improvements:
• Better caching and overall performance.
• Filters are now excluded from wiki link autocompletion.
• Search text in filter views resets correctly when switching.
• Kanban view: hide insert column option when grouped by standard fields
• Kanban view: dragging cards no longer forces sorting to change to default "order" (disable it in the sort drop down).
• Fixed issues with filters containing “.” in the name.
• Added an option to copy the x-callback-URL of a saved folder view.
• Fixed adding notes to filtered folder view columns creating unwanted properties.
• Fixed template list sometimes appearing empty when inserting a template.
• Fixed app closing after shutting the last window.
• Added icons to the sidebar headers to indicate they can be tapped.
• Developer:
– New APIs (Editor.* and Note.updateFrontmatterAttributes).
– Fixed Editor.selectedParagraphs not containing header information
– Advanced search operators are also available through DataStore.search

The most underrated productivity app. A TRUE all-in-one.

NotePlan flies under the radar compared to giants like Notion, Craft, Amplenote, etc.. buts it really hits the sweet spot for people who want a TRUE all-in-one Calendar + Notes + Task Manager + Reminders with a PARA-friendly structure.

This underdog fits perfectly where the giants feel too bloated or generic.

Absurd pricing

Great concept for an app, just what I’ve been looking for
However, having to pay 100€ every single year is just crazy for me.
There should be a lifetime option

Sorry that we can't offer a lifetime options at this moment. Most similar apps are subscription based. It depends on your individual use case with NotePlan if it's for you worth an investment into your productivity or not.
