Canopyplot is an offline field workbook for canopy surveys. Record point-grid and densiometer counts, line intercepts and crown-ellipse estimates, or inspect an on-device photo mask. Keep canopy cover, sky openness and green fraction separate, and see how each station changes between visits.

METHODS YOU CAN INSPECT
Canopyplot links directly to USDA Forest Service field guidance, an EPA field operations manual, and peer-reviewed smartphone canopy-photography and threshold studies.
Canopy cover, canopy openness, green fractional cover, crown closure, leaf area index, and light transmittance are different quantities. Canopyplot does not certify a survey, identify species, estimate leaf area index, or replace an approved protocol. Use the method required by your project and document any departure in the field notes.
EVERYTHING INCLUDED
One purchase, no subscription. All project data stays in the app's private container unless you choose the share sheet or a backup file. Photos are processed on device and are not uploaded or stored. No account, camera permission, in-app purchase, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
