This release fixes a bug where the sidebar was sometimes hidden on iPad along with some improvements to the gestures in your chats. It also contains all of the new features we introduced in 25.10: • Liquid Glass: We’ve updated the app to support the latest design language on iOS 26 • Spaces: Finally, they’re here! This first version of the feature allows you to see any spaces you have already joined and discover the rooms and subspaces within them. Keep an eye out in the future for the ability to filter your chats by space, create new spaces and manage existing spaces. • Labs: Find this new section in the app settings and test our experimental features, but do not forget to share your feedback with us! The first experimental feature available is Threads.

The latest version of Element X brings improvements to the Media and Files screen, a fix for a bug that caused excessive disk usage and improvements to the offline indicator.

September is upon us, the seasons are changing and it’s time for the next release of Element X. This release includes highly requested improvements to media sharing, so tap that download button and enjoy all of the new goodies we’ve added. • You can now send multiple photos/videos/files at the same time. **Follow-up release time!** Hot on the heels of the previous update which brought support for the latest chat room version, this release includes a couple of useful bug fixes: • You should no longer see an error when following a link to the latest version of a room on small servers. • The alert shown when you attempt to send a file larger than your server can accept is now displayed properly. • We removed a couple of glitches when opening notifications or room links within the timeline. Good news everyone! This version includes full support for v12 rooms! So when your rooms are upgraded, don’t worry, everything will still work as intended.
In v12 rooms: • Admins are not allowed to upgrade the room anymore. • The room’s creator will now be marked as the "Owner”, a new role that has the usual Admin rights and can also upgrade a room. • When there is only one owner left in a room (and the room isn’t empty), that owner will be prompted to choose a new owner before leaving.

Version 25.06 brings the following changes: • The ability to configure calls to use the Earpiece for audio instead of the Speaker. • Syncing of your Media Previews and Invite Avatars visibility settings across all Element clients. • Upgraded rooms now link to each other so you can easily read messages from older versions. • The bug where a room might show up multiple times in your room list has been fixed. • It is quicker to interact with Invites from the Chats list. Good news everyone! A new version of Element X is out, which brings some bug fixes, and quality of life improvements like: - Tapping on the username in the timeline, will show a bottom sheet to allow admins to swiftly take actions on that user (like kicking or banning). - Timeline events won't be grouped if they happened more than 5 minutes apart. - Fixed a bug that made accepted DMs sometimes appear as group rooms. - Homeserver admins can streamline the onboarding flow with the use of account provisioning deeplinks.

Good news everyone! 25.03.7 is out, and brings some small improvements, bug fixide previews for media in the timeline.es, security and safety updates! - Is now possible in Advanced Settings to hide avatars from invite requests and to hide previews for media in the timeline - Fixed an issue where the avatar of a direct chat invite wasn't rendered properly in the room list. - Fixed an issue that made pills in reply previews not being rendered properly. - Element Call is now bundled directly into the app to improve performance and security.

Great news everyone! Element X the fastest Element client is now EVEN FASTER! Thanks to the new event cache system, users will notice a huge leap in performance, especially those with a significant number of rooms. But the great news isn't finished yet, this release also adds autocompletion of room addresses and the ability to join a room by its address! • To send a link to any room you are a part of (providing it has a public address), type "#" in the message composer and a list of rooms will pop-up. This works the same way as user mentions so you can continue typing to filter and then tap on a room to select it. • To join a room by its address, tap the button to start a new chat and select the new option, providing the address of the room you want to join or knock. Enjoy these new awesome features.
