Mic Facing turns your iPhone into a portable voice studio. Amplify your voice across a room, capture clean recordings, transcribe and translate — and never send a byte off the device.
LIVE AMPLIFICATION, SHAPED TO YOUR VOICE
Thirteen built-in presets — Flat, Podcast, Clean Voice, Hearing Assist, Office, Whisper Boost, Deep Voice, Bright Voice, Megaphone, Lecture Hall, Music, Bass Reduce, Treble Reduce — plus unlimited custom presets. A half-circle gain slider with haptic detents at 2.5×, 5×, 7.5×, and 10× lets you dial in level by feel. Five-band EQ, compressor, and noise gate give you studio-grade control. Optional smart room detection suggests Quiet, Normal, Noisy, or Loud profiles.
RECORDING WITH ICLOUD SYNC
Tap Record for a clean take. Recordings continue across screen locks, route changes, and interruptions. Files save as plain audio (M4A, WAV, AIFF, CAF) into your private iCloud Drive container — portable, openable in any audio app, no proprietary database.
ON-DEVICE TRANSCRIPTION AND AI SUMMARY
Auto-transcribe runs after each recording (optional). Tap a word to seek to that moment. AI summaries are generated locally with Apple's on-device Foundation Models on Apple Intelligence-capable devices.
LIVE TRANSLATION, TWO WAYS
Speak and see your words translated in real time. Conversation mode splits the screen so two people facing each other can each tap to talk and read the result in their own language.
EXTERNAL USB-C MIC SUPPORT
Plug in a USB-C mic and Mic Facing routes input automatically. The UI tints green so you know your external mic is active.
