The App takes a league's standings, tiebreaker rules, and remaining schedule to analyze its playoff/title race.
Imports data from popular fantasy sports sites (ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, NFL, Fleaflicker, MyFantasy, Fantrax, FPL) and a companion Google Sheets template. Premium users can also import many pro leagues including NFL and Premier League.
Basic access provides approximate odds for each team to get a playoff spot and win their division (if applicable).
Premium access includes the famous "paths-to-clinch" listings of what needs to happen for teams to clinch a spot (e.g. "Bears clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Lions loss"), definitive clinched and eliminated determinations, minimum wins needed to have a chance, number of wins that would guarantee a spot, computer projected targets to aim for, a PDF report to print/share the analysis, a Median scoring option, and the ability to create "what-if" scenarios to see how the playoff picture would look based on desired picks for upcoming games.
Additional features available on all levels include the ability to edit team details, customizable set-up to handle many different league rules. Tiebreakers that can be incorporated into the calculations include head-to-head, division record, conference record, points for/against/difference, goals difference, and all-play. "Best-in-division" rules (e.g. MyFantasy) are supported.
The analysis provides excellent material for weekly recaps and newsletters.
Basic league requirements for the App to perform as intended:
1) Play head-to-head where each team in a game gets a win, loss, or tie, or League-Points (e.g. Soccer).
2) Teams play the same number of games.
2) Standings sorted firstly by winning percentage or League Points (e.g. Soccer).
3) Award all playoff spots by standings rankings (leagues that award additional spots based on points can be used but analysis will only show spots awarded by standings).
4) Leagues with "doubleheader" schedules can be accommodated. There may be limitations depending on league size.
5) The Median scoring option works with leagues of 12 teams or less. See website for additional limitations.
Due to the limitless number of league set-ups from the many hosting sites supported, confirm that basic functionality for your league(s) works before upgrading to premium access.
Important notes:
1) There is a reason this type of App exists nowhere else. The formulas, methods, and processes used can use a tremendous amount of computing resources from a device for sometimes an extended amount of time. It is completely the user's risk and discretion to subject a device to this type of use.
2) For maximum ease of use the App retrieves data from third party (e.g. hosting sites) APIs. The hosting sites control access to such data and, while changes are not anticipated, there is no guarantee or representation that a particular API's access will continue for any length of time.
3) The developer has taken great pains to adapt the App to the differing rules used by various fantasy sports hosting sites such as those that sort standings and apply tiebreakers. However, some sites do not clearly explain their methods (e.g. for applying tiebreakers) and there may be instances in which the App's methods do not match exactly to those of a particular hosting site and no representation of complete accuracy in calculations can be made. If any, such differences should be negligible and not impact the overall enjoyment of the App.
4) With the infinite number of league options and scenarios the App may be asked to calculate, complete testing is impossible. It is believed everything is in order but no warranty or representation is made that the App will function completely as intended for any specific league.
