ProofSpace, a Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) App, is a secure and privacy-preserving method for people to benefit from key services by accessing and exchanging identity-related information (“digital credentials”) peer-to-peer with them. SSI is a model of personal data management that puts users in control of their data.
The App is designed to be multi-functional and you will most likely first download it because an organization you’re associated with has shared it with you. Each such organisation, whether it provides livelihood, financial, health, education or hospitality related services, creates the step-by-step journey that they want their people to take in the App. The sequential exchange of verifiable digital credentials between you and an organization helps you progress towards a goal.
ProofSpace, built by ZAKA Group Ltd., is named to reflect this new paradigm in goal-oriented personal data management. It is designed from start-to-finish with your privacy in mind:
1. The App does not require you to create an account
2. All personal data in the App is stored encrypted locally on the phone or tablet you are using, unless you desire otherwise
3. Your consent is required whenever you share your data with another organization in the App
4. When you share your data with another organisation you do so “peer-to-peer”, meaning that there is no intermediary storing or processing that data.
For the avoidance of doubt: the App provider, ZAKA Group Ltd., does not collect, process or store any personal health information on our servers or blockchain and we will not and cannot enforce the sharing of any such information between users of the App and third parties. We are not a provider of health services ourselves and if you choose to connect with an accredited and licensed health service provider in the App, you will do so voluntarily and peer-to-peer (i.e. you will consent for your data to be communicated straight from you to the service provider, and vice versa, with no third-party intermediary storing or processing that data).
