In an open channel, you don’t need to add participants beforehand. Just send the corresponding channel link and optional channel PIN to the ones you’d like to have in there. And that’s it. Open channels are thus the perfect place for cross-functional projects and all-hands meeting, for example. If you’ve invited someone to a channel by mistake, you can revoke that person's access to the channel again using the "Block participant" option.  In a closed channel, as the term indicates, only a dedicated group of people is allowed to see the shared channel contents and join meetings. So, you can authenticate securely and quickly directly to the mail server of your email provider. Your authentication data isn't shared with third parties – so even not with SecurePIM. +++ SecurePIM Messenger presents its new Backup feature +++ With the new Backup feature in SecurePIM Settings, you can transfer your chats, channels, and shared media to a new device easily and securely. First, create the backup for a specific period of time, and choose whether media files and documents should also be backed up in addition to messages. You then need to set a password which additionally protects your encrypted backup. After that you can transfer your backup to a new device – either directly via WiFi and scanning an individual QR code on the new device. Or by saving your contents to a file and transferring that file with an app of your choice. You can then continue where you left off before creating the backup. How to contact that person quickly, you might ask. Well, the answer is with our new "Notify to join" feature. You'll find it in the list of channel participants – for all those who are currently not present. Shortly after choosing this option, the persons being notified will receive a push notification and can then directly join the channel meeting – depending on the security settings in place. And the owner can't just leave the channel and leave it to fate. At least one new channel owner is needed to ensure the full functionality of the channel. And if one day the owner has left the organization without having made someone else the new owner, the channel will be locked. All participants can then only see the content of this channel and will no longer be able to send messages or participate in meetings. Yet, they can delete the channel if they no longer need its contents. - Switch over to the dark side: With this version, Messenger is all set and ready for usage in dark mode. - And last but not the least, we've some layout improvements which will make use easier.
