BarnMate
Plan & share horse care
Only for iPhone
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
New: a Health button to log care already given or plan an appointment, and sharers who only see their own horses.
BarnMate is the calm, beautiful planner for your horse — built for co-riders, half-board partners and owners who share the same barn life.
— ONE SCHEDULE, EVERYONE IN SYNC —
See today, this week or the whole month. Sessions, lessons, competitions, supplements, farrier visits, vaccines and care reminders. Everything is grouped by horse, by day, by rider.
— EXERCISES & SESSION TEMPLATES —
A library of 55 exercises sorted by type of work: setup, step-by-step, success criteria. Build your own session templates, apply one to a session and its plan shows up right there. Add your own exercises too. Informational content — no substitute for qualified instruction.
— SHARE WITH YOUR CO-RIDER OR OWNER —
Invite your half-board partner or owner with a single tap. They get free access to the shared group — no separate account, no separate payment. Anyone in the group can plan, log and see the same thing in real time. Several sharers around the same horse? That's covered: each one has their own sessions and their own permissions.
— TRACK SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING —
Riding lessons paid by the package? BarnMate keeps a clean ledger: deposits, lesson deductions, balance and renewal reminders. No more spreadsheets.
— PASSPORT & PHOTOS —
Store each horse's passport number, vaccine record and identification photos. Everything you need at the gate or at a vet visit.
— SMART REMINDERS —
Farrier, vaccines, worming, dentist, osteo: BarnMate works out the next due date and reminds you on the day. Farrier coming on the 23rd at 9 am? Set the appointment yourself and get a reminder the evening before — no more missed appointments. Several appointments per type of care, as a series if needed (every 6 weeks…).
— PRIVACY-FIRST —
Your data syncs through your own iCloud account. We do not run a server. We do not sell anything. Sponsored access for invited co-riders is free.
— MADE FOR HORSE PEOPLE —
A typography-led design that doesn't look like a spreadsheet. Quiet, focused, beautiful.

2.3.1 1 hr ago
A 2.3 to log your horses' health in one tap, and a lighter schedule for your sharers.
Update BarnMate on every device in your yard — yours and your sharers'.
• "Session | Health" button in the Schedule: "Health" opens a single form, "Coming up" for an appointment, "Done" for care already given (wormer, vet, shoeing…), with report, attachment and faecal egg count
• "Done" right on today's appointments and on overdue care; an appointment whose time has passed is marked "To confirm"
• Tapping an appointment opens its form directly, with Call and Text on the practitioner (pre-written message for the farrier)
• Horse profile: "Upcoming health", then "Already done?" to log care in one tap; the "Upcoming health" page also shows the latest care done
• Sharers now only see the horses assigned to them, with their riders and practitioners
• Horse height typed with the keyboard
• The "You can schedule for the whole team" banner can be dismissed
• Fixed: the schedule updates as soon as an appointment is confirmed or cancelled

2.3 24 Oct
A 2.2 built around everyday yard life: care is ticked in the schedule, appointments multiply, and the horse profile gets tidier.
Update BarnMate on every device in your yard — yours and your sharers': some new features don't show in older versions.
• Today's care: care is ticked in the schedule, no longer in the session. Give each care item a rhythm (every day, some days, each session) so it shows up every day — to do once after updating
• Supplements: tick them in Today, and set an end date ("Until")
• Schedule: "Today's schedule" with sessions and appointments, "Upcoming appointments", swipe a session to edit, duplicate or delete it, add from Today, Week or Month. Redesigned landscape views
• Appointments: several per type of care (vet, physio, other…), as a series (every 6 weeks…), reminder of your choice, and "To confirm" to validate in one tap those that happened
• Horse profile: one page per section, new fields (sex, coat, breed, height, UELN) and a passport photo taken right in the app
• Settings: your yards at a glance. For sharers: "Who are you?", "My profile" and Calendar sync
• A confirmation before deleting a session, a care item or an appointment
• Fixed: duplicates in Calendar when several devices sync
Thanks for your feedback — contact@barnmate.app
2.2 22 Oct
A brand-new Schedule: each horse gets its own block, with everything that matters in its day.
• Today, Week, Month: one block per horse, with its sessions, the rugs worn during the session, care, supplements and health appointments
• Horse filter: tick one or more horses to show. The landscape grids follow the same choice
• In landscape, tap a horse's cell to open its day and tick its supplements, even on a past day
• Farrier: "Due" when the date is calculated, the time when an appointment is set
• A padlock on sessions you can't edit. You can still log care on them
• Fixed: a crash during iCloud sync, and the "Skip" button on the welcome screens
Thanks for your feedback — contact@barnmate.app
2.1 19 Oct
Logged visits move your due dates forward, plus plenty of small fixes.
• Log a visit: a dentist, osteo or vaccine visit logged on the horse's profile now moves the next due date forward. New "Vaccine" button
• Logged a visit by mistake? Delete it and the due date goes back to the previous visit
• Repeating sessions: deleting "all sessions in the series" keeps the past ones, and a series on the 31st goes back to the 31st after February
• Holidays: the first day away now counts in the schedule and the widget
• Billing: the balance is right when there are several subscriptions, a payment of 35 is no longer reset to 50, and the CSV export keeps its accents in Excel
• Widget and calendar: a deleted rider's name stays visible, and calendar events last as long as the session

2.0.7 18 Oct
Your own appointments, and an app translated all the way.
• Booked appointments: farrier coming on the 23rd at 9 am? Set the date and time on the horse's profile (farrier, vaccine, worming, dentist, osteo). The appointment replaces the calculated date, shows in the schedule, and a reminder arrives the evening before
• Past appointment: confirm it in one tap and it becomes the last visit
• Many screens were still partly in French — settings, forms, paddocks, notifications and share messages are now fully in English
• The welcome screens and FAQ now say exactly when you get a reminder
Thanks for your feedback — contact@barnmate.app
2.0.6 16 Oct
A new welcome, plus a few finishing touches.
• New welcome: the schedule, reminders and horse profile shown in pictures, the free trial explained with the price in your currency, then a choice to set up your yard, join a group with a code or get your data back from iCloud
• Rugs and sessions without a rider are now fully translated into English
Thanks for your feedback — contact@barnmate.app
2.0.5 12 Oct
Two new features and some stability fixes.
• Blankets: record each horse's blankets (weight, type, colour, brand) and tick the one in use during a session, just like a care item
• Session without a rider: for the walker, turnout, or when the coach rides — the rider is now optional
• Calendar sync: fixed a crash when the device had no editable calendar
• Various stability fixes across profiles and editors

2.0.4 10 Oct

A few fixes around the shared schedule. And everything new in 2.0 is here:
• Session entry rebuilt: one card per field, date and time on a wheel, and the session's duration
• Care items and supplements become yard libraries: create once, assign to the horses concerned
• Address book: riders now sit alongside the professionals, and “From my contacts” fills a card straight from your iPhone contacts
• Read-only profiles: look up a horse, a rider or a care item without risking a change
• Export: a horse's full profile as a PDF — identity, contacts, health tracking, history — and the ledger as CSV
• “To agree on before you start”: the things to settle with your sharer, shared in one tap
• Several sharers around the same horse, each with their own sessions and permissions

• Exercise library: 55 built-in exercises sorted by type of work, each with setup, step-by-step and success criteria
• Session templates: 24 ready-made line-ups — pick a type of work, then a template, and the plan shows up on the session

• A notification when a session that concerns you is cancelled
• Fix: duplicate types of work could make some screens look empty
Exercise content is informational and is no substitute for qualified instruction.
