MAJOR UPDATE! For years now, my three apps (Cs Pro, PlayTally and Miximum) have existed in silos, while also possessing large amounts of "shared DNA." Frequently this is literally copy-and-pasted code. In other cases things are very similar, but with slight variations, and some things work slightly better in one app than the others. So I've been working for a few months now on developing a single shared framework that all three apps can rely on for shared elements – drawing on the best executions from each, while streamlining along the way. Miximum 2 will be the first update to implement the framework. And it's here! WHAT'S NEW: - Totally rebuilt UI. Built using the most modern methods, and even more native elements than before. Snappy, reliable and buttery smooth :) - The old "Pinning" system has been replaced with the iOS Music.app "Favoriting" system. Behaviour is the same, just replace you pins by "Favoriting" those playlists. Pinned mixes will be favorited automatically. - New Now Playing manager has been optimized to reduce system player calls (and related issues, the #1 cause of Miximum crashes). - New standardized sort menu options and preferences. Some preferences have changed, and may appear to "reset". Apologies for any inconvenience. - Cascading groupings: you can now navigate to drill down into artists, albums, etc. - Improved Edit Mix pane that should be a lot more straightforward for new users to understand. Crash log fixes.

This update *actually* includes fixes for playlist generation. If you are still getting blank playlists after this, please let me know at miximum@mclay.dev. And if you're just generally happy with Miximum, let me know that too, in a review!

• Fixed conflict between "ordered rules" (i.e. least played, most played, most recently played) and randomize. Reminder: if all you want to do is mix up the order, there is a random sort preference for that! • Added optional explicit and cloud-content indicators for songs. These can be enabled from the Settings pane.

This update will hopefully address the infrequent and intermittent issue causing mixes to export as empty playlists.

PIN YOUR FAVOURITES Create convenient shortcuts by pinning your favourite mixes and playlists to the top of the Library view.

This update future-proofs some display code that doesn't appear to be causing issues in Miximum, but has caused crashes in PlayTally.

Fixed bug with the initial state of the star rating filter.

This update includes minor iPad UI improvements, including fixes for issues in Split View.

Today's update improves and expands upon sorting functionality when viewing collections (albums, artists, etc.) within a mix or playlist.

I've seen comments that folks are having issues with mixes "just being blank". And I think this is due to an issue affecting mix refreshing when creating/editing parameters and rules. Mixes now refresh every time that pane is dismissed, so you should see all those wonderful songs every time! Miximum is currently 65% OFF, so now is a great time to share with your friends, families and followers! All support is deeply appreciated. Thank you. Fixes the display bug plaguing many iPad users.

Sorry everyone, it's been difficult to get out updates recently. This is a pretty routine maintenance update that resolves a few iOS 15-specific issues. Most importantly the annoying swipe-to-dismiss rules bug!

• Fixes a bug where certain rules were not working correctly in their default (newly created) state. The fix applies to rules created moving forward, but will not effect existing ones. If you have any rules that do not seem to be working correctly, specifically re-setting the predicate type (is, is not, etc.) should correct the issue.

• New Rule: Lossless Music Only! Whoooo! • No, I don't know how to filter for Spatial Audio yet.

• Song duration parameter now supports minutes and seconds. Finally!! • Miximum has always used the Crashlytics platform (originally Fabric/Twitter, then Firebase/Google) to identify the sources of crashes and stability issues. Version 1.5.6 drops this support in favour of the built-in iOS crash support which now provides most of the original benefits. This change has NOT been made because of any security or privacy issues or concerns, but it is nice to remove another potential now-mostly-redundant source of failure. You won't notice any changes. But I will; please consider enabling "Share with App Developers" in your Analytics & Improvements settings!

This update includes expanded contextual menus for collections (Play Next and Play Later have been added to the play and shuffle controls) and a new menu for individual songs with some handy new functionality :)
