I got the pro version with the 1 year free for students deal and I really found it useful. I personally think that its more useful for academic stuff than ChatGPT. It has helped me a lot in understanding the logic behind the maths that I am doing and self teach new matematical concepts
What’s going on lately?

I’ve been using Gemini as my daily go to AI app and I use AI a lot. It used to be a very good assistant and I’ve got the pro plan for 1 year. Right after my purchase google have changed many things right after the “Google I/O 2026” event. But since then everything is wrong. Conversation context just doesn’t seem to work at all sometimes. Gemini was unable to read information I’ve sent in the same conversation 2 messages before. And Gemini just forgets stuff it is not supposed to. Some conversations just disappear. I have a conversation with about 10 messages, it is the last I’ve created and Gemini can’t even show me the full conversation. What does this mean? What is going on? I feel a bit scammed tbh. Like it used to work and it doesn’t anymore. Gemini cannot analize some pictures anymore and it doesn’t follow instructions like before. How that is was good and just after I paid Google for a better service I received an unusable service? What’s going on Google? I am not pleased at all!
This ai is not as good as the competition

I gave gemini a chance and used it mainly for 2-3 weeks. For research its pretty good, for image creation it's bad. You try to save the "image at full quality" and it gives me a 0.1mb picture that looks awful. Try saving one singular picture from bunch it saves them all at the same quality. The ai is fast yet slower than the competition. Tried updating documents from my phone, 80% of cases it doesn't open them. Not to mention i have a paid subscription. The pc experience is better do i need it on my phone. Cannot convince me to continue with them unless they make the app better

Broken product, small company

The small multi-billion dollar company that owns the internet is unable to make this app work on iOS. The screen is just frozen. Even after offloading the app, reinstalling completely and restarting the phone multiple times the app does not work. If they’re using ai to “vibe-code” this: it doesent work. It broke the app completely. Turns out making coding more accessible only makes worse products. This is the democratisation of technology. Worse products everywhere.UPDATE: this is the developer response from the small multibillion dollar company: Hi Dan. We understand that this hasn't been the most seamless experience for you. Thank you.They don’t even bother to read stuff.I did everything and the app is still not working. These are the people who are telling us AI is the future, yet their app does not work.
