myOpel is the official application for Opel Owners; designed to enhance your Opel driving and ownership experience.
App features can be categorised as ‘Unconnected’ and ‘Connected via Bluetooth’
Unconnected Features
No connection required and a whole host of useful information at your fingertips. These features are available for most Opel models:
- Quick access to a glossary of the vehicle dashboard lights
- Manage multiple vehicles in your garage
- View ‘That’s How it Works’ videos relating to infotainment and safety systems
- Tag the location of your parked vehicle to help you find it easier in a busy car park
- Share the parked location with your contacts
- Find Dealers local to you and save your favourite Dealer for quick and easy contact
- Contact Opel
- Request a service or maintenance event with your favourite Dealer
- View Opel news, events and offers tailored for you
- Update your infotainment system and factory navigation from your phone, using your phone’s charging cable (selected infotainment systems)
Bluetooth Connected Features
Available on selected infotainment systems, these features provide a useful insight into your journeys and driving data:
- Dashboard of drive and trip data
- Vehicle alerts
- Fuel level and average full consumption
- Last Miles Guidance (once your car is parked, you can continue navigation to your destination)

Nu funcționează
Pe iPhone nu funcționează! Intra in legătura cu mașina dar nu preia nicio data!
Needs total redesign, both UI and functions!
Using the app for 7 months with a PHEV vehicle, here are my experiences:
+ once vehicle ownership confirmed via dealer, odometer in app is updated automatically
+ remote cooling/heating works
+ sw updates notification works
- BIG BUG on iOS 14, needs fixing ASAP: bluetooth security permission prompt does not work, it always asks for permission to connect with the NAC. Even if you grant always permission to MyOpel in settings/privacy/bluetooth, it ignores it. This issue is for months, why hasn't it been addressed already?!
- trips recording not working all the time
- cost/fuel stats are useless for PHEV, there is no electricity statistics!!! Only petrol. Allow us to enter electricity cost and charging info for a complete cost overview!!
- no idea how many km i drove in the last 7 months only electric and at what average kWh consumption & cost!
- communication with the car takes a long time and doesn't update the real status of charging. Example: charging finalized but range bar is not updated even after 2-3 manual refreshes
- 7 times out of 10 the app get stuck on the yellow Opel loading screen and does not open!!! We have to force close and reopen.
- you cannot import your exported trips log (clicking to open the .myop atrachment in the e-mail) because MyOpel is not registered as a file open handler for .myop files.
Almost as bad as Telekom
The app is a nightmare! Every time you go into your car it ask permission to connect to the car - very annoying.
I changed the phone and I need to re- register! And when I tried to validate the phone after receiving the sms it says that something went wrong and I need to try later.
So, I can’t heat my car in the morning.
