Your song. Their music app.
Mind the gap between streaming services! TuneTransit is the ultimate music sharing app for Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, and YouTube Music.
Ever tried sharing a favorite song with a friend, only to hear that they use a different streaming service? TuneTransit bridges the divide instantly. Paste a link, type a name, or capture what’s playing nearby—TuneTransit finds the match across every platform and creates a universal Smart Link so your friends can listen in their app of choice with a single tap. They don’t even need TuneTransit installed to listen.
Key Features:
· Instant Search & Live Capture: Start wherever the music finds you. Paste a link from any service, search any track, or use Live Capture to identify music playing nearby. TuneTransit resolves the exact match across Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, and YouTube Music in seconds.
· Universal Smart Links: Share one link with all platforms included — we call it a Smart Link. Your friends tap it and choose their preferred music app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro, mobile device, or web — no missing songs, no platform lock-in.
· Keep Your Recommendations On Track: A dedicated home for the music shared between you. Tracks keeps your sent and received songs organized so you can revisit past recommendations and follow the thread in Arrivals and Departures. (Because yes, friends that open your links can Send One Back right into TuneTransit)
· The Station Board: Discover what other listeners are passing on. Check out the week’s most-shared tracks and recent community activity to find your next favorite song.
· Personal Mixtapes: When one song isn’t enough, make it personal. Curate a custom tracklist, arrange the running order, and add a personal note to share a complete vibe.
· Messages App Support: Share cross-platform tracks directly inside Messages without ever leaving your chat.
· In-App Search: Bring TuneTransit’s link lookup directly into supported share sheets across other apps.

more November is here! This year has flown by, especially since we released our major 3.0 update on all platforms in August, and we're continuing to optimize and improve the TuneTransit experience.
In Version 3.1.4, we've redesigned the TuneTransit Messages experience! The Messages extension has been reworked and modeled after our In-App Search, so it fits right in with the current app design. Share Again and Recently Played are now a tap away, and songs you send from Messages show up in your Tracks. And... we've opened Messages to ALL TuneTransit users! (Free users get 3 searches a day, shared across the app, Siri, the share sheet and Messages. Premium users are unlimited.)
With this update, we have also delivered the following bug fixes and improvements:
• Know when they listen: get a notification the first time someone opens a song you sent, and see how many times each link was opened, and in which app, right in the Tracks tab.
• When someone sends a song back through your Smart Link, tapping the notification now takes you straight to the song.
• We fixed a bug where drag-and-drop in the Mixtape editor on iPad would not work correctly.
• We fixed several bugs with how certain pages display on iPhone Duo, such as Search and mixtape creation.
• Notifications are now more reliable, and other bug fixes and improvements were made across the app made to improve the TuneTransit experience.
As always, thank you for supporting TuneTransit, and let us know if you have any feedback with this newest update!

Happy Halloween TuneTransit users! We may not have anything spooky to share, but we do have a brand-new update ready to enhance the TuneTransit experience on all devices.
In Version 3.1.3, we have completely redesigned the Mixtape experience in TuneTransit! When creating Mixtapes on a standard iPhone, iPhone Duo, or iPad, we have created a new design and flow to make it feel even more intuitive to put together mixtapes to share with your friends. This also includes slight adjustments to the Mixtape tab as a whole, including the ability to save a mixtape in progress as a draft that you can finish later.
In addition to Mixtapes however, this update also opens In-App Search to all TuneTransit users! When sharing a song or album from another app, searches will now load directly in the Share Sheet rather than opening directly in TuneTransit to get results faster than ever.
As always, thank you for supporting TuneTransit, and let us know if you have any feedback with this newest update!

Happy iPhone Duo release weekend! After testing TuneTransit with a physical iPhone Duo, we have been able to make several adjustments to make TuneTransit feel even more at home on the new device.
With Version 3.1.2, we have implemented several bug fixes and improvements that optimize the TuneTransit experience across all devices, notably on iPhone Duo. From support for iPhone Duo's different postures to several tweaks to how the app looks in folded mode, this update brings a feeling that this app was designed to be best experienced on a larger (or smaller) display.
In addition to iPhone Duo upgrades, we were also able to bring in multiple improvements to pages such as our Mixtape tab and Manual Search that impact all devices.
As always, thank you for supporting TuneTransit, and let us know if you have any feedback with this newest update!

TuneTransit 3.1 is here with iPhone Duo support and upgrades for all users!
Since releasing Version 3.0, we have been hard at work on creating a familiar but new TuneTransit experience for the iPhone Duo. Beyond that however, we wanted to continue enhancing the TuneTransit experience for all users and continue laying the foundation for future updates.
With 3.1, we have fully adapted the application for iPhone Duo to provide a seamless experience, regardless of whether you are using the device folded or unfolded. Additionally, we have made several updates to our search algorithm, enhanced existing features, and implemented several bug fixes to improve TuneTransit.
This update contains the following enhancements:
· iPhone Duo Support: TuneTransit is optimized for iPhone Duo! From adjusting various screens for the new sizing to implementing a new way to shift between Share Again + Recently Played, we put a lot of time into making this feel right at home. Let us know what you think, and look forward to additional TuneTransit updates once we can use TuneTransit on a physical Duo!
· Manual Search Upgrades: Our Manual Search feature has gotten a makeover! The app now shows a filter between Songs + Albums and Recent Searches, in addition to several improvements to the algorithm that powers this portion of the app.
· Shortcuts/Siri AI Enhancements: We have tightened our Shortcuts integration by allowing you to ask Siri to find x link on TuneTransit, which then prompts you to present the song and artist name. This is very much in beta, but we look forward to seeing what you think!
· Search Upgrades: Our search processes has been extensively updated to fix bugs and provide enhancements to search results across streaming platforms. As a fun fact, Version 3.1 provides almost as many improvements as we brought in Version 3.0!

Introducing TuneTransit 3.0: Rebuilt from the ground up!
We spent the entire summer creating our biggest update yet — designed to make sharing, discovering, and accessing music across streaming platforms better than ever.
This major update contains the following new features:
· Brand-New Design: In this update, we did a complete visual refresh featuring our new app icon and streamlined navigation inspired by some of our favorite subway systems. Every single page has been redesigned, so we encourage you to check everything out!
· Search Upgrades: As if it couldn't get even better, we completely re-engineered our search algorithms to create a faster simultaneous search across Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, and YouTube Music.
· Mixtapes: Create a mixtape when one song isn’t enough. Collect your favorite tracks into a custom mixtape, set the running order, add a personal note, and share a complete listening page with friends.
· Station Board: See what other listeners are passing on with our new Station Board tab. Explore the week’s most-shared songs and recent community activity to discover fresh recommendations.
· Arrivals & Departures: Keep the music between you and your friends in one place on our new Tracks tab. See when your shared links are opened in Departures, and preview the tracks friends send you in Arrivals. Because yes: friends that open your links can now send a song back that appears right in TuneTransit!
· Upgraded Story Cards: Give your music a cover worth sharing. We’ve redesigned the editor with 5 brand-new native card designs—Subway, The Paper, Pulse, Sunset Club, and After Dark — ready to export directly to Instagram or other social media apps. (Available with TuneTransit Premium)
· Widget Upgrades: Our now playing widget features a new design to go with Version 3.0, as well as several improvements to its functionality and reliability overall. (Available with TuneTransit Premium)
And if that wasn't enough:
· iOS 27 Compatibility: TuneTransit is now fully compatible with the latest iOS version to make your experience better than ever.
· Performance Improvements + Bug Fixes: In addition to our search algorithms, we have made the app a lot more efficient and performant across all devices. On top of that, we also were able to ship so many bug fixes in this update that we cannot even fit them all into a changelog!
Finally, thank you for continuing to use TuneTransit and provide feedback that enhances the experience for everyone. This update would not have been possible without all of you!

Now Boarding: TuneTransit v1.9.1 - Bug Fixes and Improvements!
As February comes to a close and winter continues to proceed, we are continuing to improve the TuneTransit experience as a whole. Some might say that our true love for Valentine's Day this year was our users... or maybe our shared love for music sounds better? Either way, we are here to bridge the music sharing gap between you and your friends, no matter how close y'all are.
Version 1.9.1 is all about fixing bugs and making improvements across TuneTransit! Throughout the application, we have made improvements that are noticeable by all users, especially since the release of our last major update (Version 1.9) -- so be sure to update as soon as possible. (As an additional reminder to those that have not updated in a while, please do so by March 9th to ensure full compatibility with Spotify searches)
This update contains the following bug fixes and improvements:
Improvements:
- On iPhone, our navigation bar has been tweaked and resized to better complement device sizes, especially for users that have smaller iPhones.
- On iPad, our navigation bar has been modified to eliminate the sidebar option. This change allows for a better viewing experience and prevents accidental tab re-configurations to the left side of the screen.
- DJ Mix detection from Apple Music has been added to TuneTransit! When a mixed track is playing, TuneTransit will indicate it on our Now Playing + Search Results screens. Please note that since DJ mixes are only on Apple Music, cross-platform links target the closest unmixed variant. Results can vary!
- Several performance improvements have been made across TuneTransit, specifically with focus on background activities.
- Several UI changes have been made across TuneTransit to better complement our Aurora design.
Bug Fixes:
- We fixed several bugs that affected the ordering of Apple Music tracks in the Recently Played section of our Search tab.
- We fixed several bugs where the transitions to Search Results would not be as smooth as intended.
- We fixed several bugs where the tab indicator on iPhone would continue to still show lag when switching tabs.
- We fixed a bug with Spotify searches where searches would sometimes take longer than expected.
- We fixed a bug with YouTube Music searches where not all results were being considered, resulting in not finding a match on that platform as a result.
- We fixed a bug where the Close button on our manual search option would be hard to select on all platforms.
- We fixed a bug where non-premium users would sometimes see a glitched search result when their daily search limit has been met.
- We fixed a bug where animations would sometimes glitch when new tracks were added to the Recently Played section of our Search tab.
As always, thank you for using TuneTransit and we look forward to continuing to deliver a seamless music sharing experience!

Now Boarding: TuneTransit v1.9 - Spotify Upgrades, Search Improvements, UI Refinements, and Bug Fixes!
Since our Aurora upgrade last month, we have been hard at work in making the TuneTransit experience even better for our riders. Beyond that however, we are also making upgrades to our infrastructure that will allow TuneTransit to continue operating at full capacity well into the future. In order to continue providing an optimal experience for all of our supported platforms, we knew that we had to be creative in how we work behind the scenes to ensure the same experience you know and love, but with improvements all around.
In this update, we have notably upgraded our Spotify search engine to be more resilient, accurate, and in some cases faster than our previous releases! As Spotify continues to modernize their platform, this new engine allows us to continue supporting their platform in the near term while also ensuring compatibility with future releases on both sides.
NOTE: With this change, all TuneTransit users will need to be on Version 1.9 by March 9th to ensure continued compatibility with Spotify searches -- so be sure to get this one installed ASAP!
Of course, we also have made notable improvements across the TuneTransit experience such as improvements to our search engine, refinements to our Aurora UI, and bug fixes across the board. So without further ado... let's get started!
This update contains the following new features, bug fixes, and improvements:
New Features:
- Introducing our new Spotify engine! This upgrade delivers accuracy and resiliency for Spotify searches across the board, all while maintaining the same TuneTransit experience. Improvements:
- Loading bubbles have been added to the Search Results screen to indicate the progress of searches in TuneTransit.

- Searches will now prefer results that are not in compilation albums, meaning that TuneTransit now maintains the album/EP/single release that the artist intended.
- Searches will now run on multiple platforms for tracks/albums from Apple Music simultaneously to get results faster.
- UI improvements have been made across the board to improve tab animations and transitions.
- The tutorial for adding your Last.fm username has been modified to make directions clearer, notably when completing the steps provided.
Bug Fixes:
- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would not repair album artwork on the Search Results screen.
- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would sometimes show an additional selection screen when searching a track/album.

- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would sometimes duplicate searches in the 'Jump Back In' section on the Search Tab.

- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would sometimes post the same Apple Music track to the Station Feed twice when the app is open.
- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would sometimes miss posting an Apple Music track to the Station Feed when the app is open.
- We fixed a bug where the navigation bar on iPhone would still sometimes lag when switching tabs.
- We fixed a bug where the Close button was truncated on iPhone for certain views in TuneTransit.
As always, thank you for using TuneTransit and we look forward to continuing to deliver a seamless music sharing experience!

Introducing TuneTransit v1.8.5: Vision Pro Support, Stability Upgrades, and Bug Fixes!
As 2026 continues, we strive to continue delivering an optimal experience for all of our riders, no matter if they have been with us since Day 1 or have just joined us yesterday. Of course, this means that we also want to bring TuneTransit to new devices and form factors to meet you where you are at.
In this update, we are thrilled to announce that we are adding another device to the TuneTransit compatibility list - Vision Pro! While some may say that we could have introduced this when we launched, we wanted to take the time to make the experience on Vision Pro feel seamless and compliment the beauty of visionOS. This means that TuneTransit runs natively and delivers a familiar but new experience on our Aurora platform, and we can't wait for you to try it out.
Of course, for all TuneTransit users, Version 1.8.5 also includes several stability upgrades and bug fixes that continue to improve the user experience since our last major update arrived last month -- so be sure to install this one as soon as possible!
This update contains the following new features, bug fixes, and improvements:
New Features:
- TuneTransit is now on Vision Pro! Along with bringing over the same functionality you would expect from our main app, this version introduces a special feature called TuneVerse. By selecting 'Enter TuneVerse' on the Now Playing screen when playing a song on Apple Music, you can enter an immersive mode that's just you, the sky, and the album artwork in full-out immersive fashion. Try it out today!
Improvements:
- Several stability upgrades have been made across the board, which should result in a better experience overall (performance, album artwork loading, feed syncing, etc.).
- Several visual improvements have been made across TuneTransit to improve our Aurora design and better support smaller devices.
Bug Fixes:
- We fixed several bugs across TuneTransit that resulted in possible stability and performance issues.

- We fixed a bug where the transition animation for switching between tabs on iPhone would lag in certain situations.
- We fixed a bug where the What's New screens for Version 1.8 would not appear properly on smaller iPad devices.
- We fixed a bug where our new TuneTransit app screenshots for iPhone would sometimes appear on the App Store incorrectly.
As always, thank you for using TuneTransit and we look forward to continuing to deliver a seamless music sharing experience!

Boarding Now: TuneTransit v1.8.2 - Bug fixes and improvements!
Our major update released last week was a huge change for our TuneTransit riders! Aurora signifies the path ahead for our design, but through it all, we also want to make sure that the TuneTransit experience is as stable and memorable as it has always been.
Version 1.8.2 continues that mission with a handful of bug fixes and improvements recommended for all TuneTransit users. Of course... we want to make sure that we still have some new surprises in store as well!
With that in mind, this update contains the following bug fixes and improvements:
Improvements:
- We have added a new double tap action to our Search tab icon on iPhone! By double tapping the Search icon after a search has completed, this will immediately route you back to the main Search page to kick off your next search. This improvement was inspired by our power users, so be sure to check it out to make your searching experience that much faster!
- We have upgraded the design of our Smart Links to match our new Aurora redesign! Any smart links that are generated will now have a modified design with subtle improvements and styling reminiscent of the main app.
- We have refactored our TuneTransit backend logic to deliver improved stability and performance across the TuneTransit experience.
Bug Fixes:
- We fixed a bug where album artwork may not load into a TuneTransit search initiated from a Recently Played item on the Search tab.
- We fixed a bug where the ordering of Recently Played and Station items would be sometimes incorrect for Apple Music users.
- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would sometimes publish Apple Music tracks twice to the Recently Played list and Station feed.
- We fixed a bug where corrupted Last.fm user profiles would prevent any activity from occurring -- these users will now get a prompt to re-add their Last.fm connection to TuneTransit.
As always, thank you for using TuneTransit and we look forward to continuing to deliver a seamless music sharing experience!

Introducing TuneTransit 1.8: The Aurora Update!
For our first major update of 2026, we wanted to set a foundation that would push us towards our goal of becoming the ultimate music sharing app. In doing so, it became clear that TuneTransit needed an identity for its users -- a design that would look and feel like the service that they use on a daily basis. When we were finished with an entire weekend of creating this massive upgrade, there was only one word that could describe it: Aurora.
Aurora is our new design language embedded across the entire TuneTransit experience, and it's clearly the biggest design upgrade that we have delivered to the app since launch. Notably, this design touches every part of TuneTransit to provide the same features you know and love, but with a premium feel. From App Themes to a redesigned Navigation Bar, there is something in this update for everyone!
NOTE: Version 1.8.1 has been released to deliver several bug fixes and performance improvements, including a fix for a critical bug introduced in Version 1.8 that would cause TuneTransit to stop operating properly in times of heavy network activity. See the changelog for more information, and update as soon as possible!
Enhancements (Version 1.8):

- Feed has been rebranded as TuneTransit Station, complete with a redesign to align with our new design language.
- Several improvements have been made to all TuneTransit pages to align with our new design language and deliver a better experience on devices of all sizes.

- We fixed several bugs where certain screens in TuneTransit would not correctly optimize for smaller devices.

- We fixed a bug where certain remixes would not search properly in Tidal, resulting in the incorrect result being chosen by our search engine.
- We fixed a bug where TuneTransit would take too long with certain Tidal searches, resulting in a delayed search result for all users.
- We fixed a bug where certain songs with dashes played on Spotify or Tidal would appear twice in Recently Played.
- We fixed a bug where the tab selection color would not update automatically when the app theme was changed.
- We fixed a bug where the QR code view on iPad would not appear correctly in TuneTransit Station.

As always, thank you for using TuneTransit and we look forward to continuing to deliver a seamless music sharing experience!
1.8.1 21 Jan
November is here!
