ClickShelf brings everyday file actions to the native macOS Finder context menu. Create your own right-click toolkit and reach common tools without switching between apps.
FILES & TEMPLATES
• Create TXT, Markdown, JSON and Shell files
• Add custom templates with your own names, filenames and initial content
• Save clipboard text as TXT or Markdown, and images as PNG or JPEG
• Name files before saving; existing files are never overwritten
• Create folders, copy paths or filenames, cut and paste
• Batch rename, permanently delete, dissolve folders, hide or show files
• Make symlinks and aliases, export directory trees, find duplicates and measure folder size
IMAGES & MEDIA
• Convert JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and ICNS
• Compress and optimise images, recognise text with OCR

• Convert video to GIF, set wallpaper and customise file or folder icons
CLIPBOARD HISTORY & PRIVACY
• Search and pin text, file and image history
• Automatically skip clipboard content marked as sensitive
• Exclude apps by Bundle ID or pause recording for one hour
• Keep history for 1, 7 or 30 days, or indefinitely; pinned items do not expire automatically
TRANSFER & UTILITIES
• Send to favourites or removable volumes with copy or move
• Use AirDrop, upload to your configured image host and run Shortcuts
• Open files with a chosen app, use archive and PDF tools, run user scripts
• Inspect file sizes and hashes, and use QR code tools

Enable the ClickShelf Finder extension in System Settings before first use.
Deleted-item recovery: Items removed by the permanent-delete action are retained privately for 7 days. Restore them in the app or confirm immediate deletion. Retained data uses disk space and is cleaned after expiry while the app runs or on the next launch. Currently supports same-volume items; data erased by older versions cannot be recovered.

• Items removed using the permanent-delete menu action are retained privately for 7 days, outside the system Trash.
• View original paths and expiry dates under Context Menu → Permanent Delete, then choose a folder to restore. Existing files are never overwritten.
• Immediately delete individual recovery items after a second confirmation.
• Retained items still use disk space. Expired data is cleaned periodically while the app runs, or on the next launch.
• Currently supports items on the same volume as the recovery area. Data already erased by older versions cannot be recovered.
