### iPhone Duo - Use ETasks on iPhone Duo’s outer or inner screen, with layouts that adjust when you fold the display or open Split View. Improvements will follow after the release. ### Fix - Tasks and subtasks added inline now highlight reliably, including after switching between Classic and Inset task styles. - Tutorial buttons highlight only the button when tapped, without lighting up empty space beside it. - Reset preferences does not reset the Leaving Notifications toggle. - Some previews are updated to better reflect the changes. ### New - Hide future tasks in the lists tab until they’re coming up via **Settings → Customise App → Dates & Reminders → Upcoming Tasks**. Recurring tasks use their next occurrence, and **Show all tasks** reveals hidden tasks in Lists. - Open **Announcements** from the app menu to see the latest ETasks news and updates. New announcements can also appear as toasts or notifications.

# Since Version 1.2 ## Make Lists yours from the start - New users can choose Roomy, Balanced, or Compact list cards and a Colorful or Minimal look while tutorial lists are prepared. More options remain available in **Edit lists** from the app menu. ## Reminder notifications - Press and hold a reminder notification to mark the task complete or snooze it for 15 minutes, 1 hour, or until tomorrow, without opening ETasks. ## Everyday improvements - Date pickers for deadlines, reminders, alarms and recurrence end dates now include a **Today** button that brings the calendar to today without changing the selected date. - Voice Smart Input no longer clears a recognised task and its auto-filled details when dictation ends on certain iPhones (a known older iOS issue on some iPhones). - Performance and reliability improvements across the app for a smoother everyday experience.

# Since Version 1.1 ## A smoother start - First-time setup is faster and now shows clear progress while your account and tutorial lists are being prepared. - The Basic and Advanced tutorial lists are added together more reliably. If setup is interrupted, you can retry or continue without them. - Welcome and tutorial screens work better with larger text, keeping important choices and buttons easy to reach. - Importing from Apple Reminders now moves more smoothly into the tutorial or your task lists. - If sharing a task into ETasks interrupts setup, onboarding resumes where you left off after the shared task is handled. ## Everyday reliability - Quick Add’s discard confirmation appears more reliably when you close an unfinished entry. - Your first-time list choices save more safely without disturbing other list customisations. - Hidden and visible list choices are preserved when reopening the app, even if your lists take a moment to load. - Added safeguards to keep Google Tasks syncing and shared-list updates reliable during setup.

# What’s New Since Version 1.0 ## Make it your own - Choose a sound for each alarm: Daybreak, Glass Chime, Focus Pulse, Urgent Signal, or the system default. - Enjoy new puppy and panda cub companions to keep you company while you plan your day. ## Easier task management - Lists open and close more smoothly, with less jumping on Mac. - Favourites now follows the same list order you’ve chosen in Lists. - Quick Add keeps imported tasks and their subtasks together in the right order. - If a task, list name or alarm can’t be saved, your draft or choice is kept so you can try again. You can also retry Undo if it can’t save a change. ## Smoother Calendar and reminders - Swipe between months more easily, without scrolling or tapping tasks getting in the way. - Dragging tasks to a new date is more reliable. - Tapping an alarm or reminder notification opens the right task more reliably, even when the app is closed. ## Fixes and faster everyday use - Fixed an issue where deleted tasks could briefly reappear in Lists, and improved stability when deleting tasks and lists. - The Recycle Bin no longer shows duplicate tasks. Restoring a parent task keeps its subtasks together, and a task’s deleted list can be restored when needed. - Google sign-in is more reliable, with a clearer message if sign-in can’t start. - Adding, duplicating, moving and organising tasks is faster, especially in large lists. Tasks with many subtasks also open faster. - Dragging and reordering tasks feels steadier, with fewer interruptions after dropping a task. - Calendar views update faster, and Recycle Bin sections open more quickly. - The app starts more smoothly, with less waiting when it opens.
