I am extremely disappointed with your business practices. If you truly believed in the quality of your product, you would offer a short trial period with no commitment, allowing users to evaluate the app before making a purchase. Instead, your approach forces users into a subscription from the start, without clearly notifying them of an impending charge.

Additionally, the app itself is subpar and does not justify the price you charge. I am not the only one who feels this way—many others have raised similar complaints about your misleading tactics. Ethical businesses stand by their products and ensure customer satisfaction before taking payment, but it seems your strategy relies on users forgetting their commitments rather than genuinely earning their trust.
The worst is that you are hiding your wrong behavior, behind Apple policies!

I believe that taking money from dissatisfied customers is not a sustainable or honorable way to do business. I sincerely hope you reconsider your practices and operate with more transparency in the future.

Thank you for the review, and I'm really sorry to hear about your disappointment. We truly appreciate your feedback and understand how important transparency and customer satisfaction are regarding subscriptions.

Our subscription model is structured per Apple’s policies, and we aim to make all charges and trial conditions evident in the App Store before any commitment is made. However, I completely understand your concerns and would love to help address any issues you’ve encountered.

Looking at your account, I have found the following: Firstly, you signed up for a yearly subscription with a seven-day trial. We grant you seven days to paraphrase in your words, "evaluate the app." This was done on 8 March 2025; your trial was then converted into a paid subscription on the 15th March 2025. I can see you completed a lesson on the 13th of March, and a notification was sent to your phone on the 14th of March. As you purchased your App via the App Store, you are an Apple customer and fall within their terms of service; this is not Ling hiding behind Apple's policies; these are the policies you agree to when purchasing an app from the App Store; this is the case for all Apps. Apple gives App developers no flexibility when managing "their subscribers." Google allows us this privilege, but unfortunately, not Apple. Along every step of the way, you would have received a notification from Apple when your trial started and when it would convert. To say Ling has unfair subscription practices and a lack of transparency when you have admitted you forgot your commitments is disingenuous.
