• Search words like tag:, notebook: and dates now work in iPhone and iPad search, saved searches and shortcuts, and in Mac search when you are offline. • Curly quotes “like this” now count as quotes in a search. • Mac: pick a default notebook in Settings and the sidebar star moves to it. New notes go there. • Mac: while you drag a tag on the Tags screen, hover a letter on the A–Z rail to jump to it.

• Colour in code blocks, with a language picker in each block. • Add YouTube videos to a note and play them right there. • Type # while you write to add a tag, or : to add an emoji. There is also a new emoji picker. • Jump straight to a notebook, stack or tag from quick search. • Simpler reminders: pick a time, and the day comes from the task's due date. A repeating task now says how it repeats. • Web clips no longer show a second scrollbar. • Editing a note no longer drops settings on embedded content, such as its size and alignment. • Mac: optional counts next to Tasks, Templates and Files. All sidebar settings are now in Settings › Sidebar.

• Web clips now look like the real page — cards, colors, buttons and pictures — instead of flat text. • Web clips are read-only, marked with a Web Clip badge, and can be turned into an ordinary note. • Copy text copies a web clip's words in one tap. • A new find bar in every note, and the words you searched for are highlighted when you open a result.

Press and hold text in a note on iPhone or iPad to select and copy it. To move a paragraph, tap it and drag the handle that appears in the left margin. Search now finds words inside your PDFs and scanned images, even when you are offline.

New on iPhone and iPad: a Home Screen Tasks widget. Your open tasks are right there — tap the circle to cross one off without opening Harbor, or tap a task to open it. Comes in two sizes. Plus fixes and improvements throughout.

You can now link one note to another right where you are typing. Type [[ or @ anywhere in a line to open the note picker, search as you type, and drop the link in. Before, this only worked at the start of an empty line.

Task reminders now actually fire on Mac and iPhone, and the task form tells you in plain English what a task will do before you save it. A repeating task now describes its schedule the same way it does on the web and on your other devices. Picking a date and time for a task on the Mac is now a calendar with hour and minute controls, instead of a clock face you had to drag.

The ⌘K quick-open palette can now create a notebook or a tag and switch workspaces. The editor's + insert menu now offers everything you get by typing /. Plus bug fixes and performance improvements.

Shared photos and files now upload without needing to open Harbor.

Shared photos now save to the active workspace so they appear immediately in Home and Notes.

• Table of contents — pick any notes and create a note that links to them all. • Publishing a note that links to private notes now warns you first, and offers to publish those too. • The "/" insert menu opens beside your cursor instead of jumping to the top of the window. • Mac: drag notes onto a notebook in the sidebar to move them, including notebooks pinned to Shortcuts. • Mac: right-click Trash in the sidebar to empty it.

Workspaces let you filter Harbor down to one area of your life. Signing in, creating an account and resetting your password have been redesigned. The note list on iPhone and iPad now shows preview images, with new options for how it looks and sorts. You can now indent and outdent nested lists on iPhone and iPad. Plus fixes for sign-out, Keychain access, and note thumbnails.

- Notes with a lot of tags no longer push the sidebar and note list off screen. - Importing from Evernote is faster and more reliable, and handles much larger files. - iPhone & iPad: share a note as a public link, copy it, and revoke it whenever you like. - A short "What's New" card after Harbor updates, so you can see what changed. - iPhone: fixed the drag handle for moving blocks being hard to grab near the left edge.

New in this update: • Standard Notes import — bring your notes, tags and attachments over from Standard Notes, with the option to encrypt everything as it comes in. • Markdown export — export your whole account as Markdown, or download any single note as a Markdown file. • Clear account — empty an account without deleting it, on Mac and on iPhone & iPad. • Files, rebuilt — an upload button, true totals, grid and list views, filters, and a details panel with a preview, file info, and which notes each file appears in. • Copy a note's ID straight from the Info panel. • Find notebooks — search your notebooks on iPhone and iPad. Also in this update: • Fixed images vanishing from a note the first time you edited it. • Text sizes and spacing on the Mac now match the rest of Harbor. • Arrow keys move the highlight in the note-link picker. • Notebook stacks keep their collapsed state through a rename. • The share confirmation now tells you when the note became public.

Harbor now runs on more devices. • iPhone & iPad: Harbor now requires iOS 18 instead of iOS 26, so it installs on iPhone XR, XS and XS Max. • Mac: Harbor now requires macOS 15 instead of macOS 26, including Intel Macs back to 2018. Also in this update: • Tasks: one sort menu, five fields, and both sort directions. • Repeating tasks: "Last day of the month" is now available in custom recurrence. • Encryption: ⌘L locks your encrypted notes on macOS and iPadOS, saving the open editor first. Harbor also no longer offers encryption setup before your first sync has finished. • Watched folders: the "suggest a title" setting now applies on the Mac. • Fixed a crash when recording audio on a Mac with no microphone. • Fixed sync, the editor, and the idle lock getting stuck after the system clock moved backwards. • Notebooks on iPhone and iPad now list ungrouped notebooks first, then stacks, with Trash last. • Clearer messages when an attachment is too large for your plan, and clearer passkey errors.
