- iOS 9 and up only Plext allows users to communicate anonymously by sending and receiving text messages through license plate numbers. Users of Plext can easily send a text to anyone's license plate number, the owner of the vehicle will receive the message. Plext Uses: Perhaps someone left their lights on and you'd like to let them know. Maybe a car is being towed but the owner is not aware, or there is a car blocking your driveway but you have no way of getting ahold of the driver. Now with Plext, you can. If you can see a plate number, you can use it like a phone number with Plext and send a text message to that plate number. If the driver is a user of Plext, they will get the message instantly. Even if you are not yet a Plext user, Plext stores the messages and will deliver the proper message to the proper vehicle owner once they become a user. See who has been messaging you with Plext. Please don't Plext and drive, Plext and park. It's safer.
