Private AI so you can think out loud. Off the record.
Confer is a powerful AI assistant built so your conversations stay private—even from us. Your messages are encrypted with keys only you control. Most AI products ask you to trust a privacy policy. Confer makes privacy part of the architecture.
Ask about health, finances, relationships, work, or anything else you wouldn’t want sitting in a company’s plaintext database.
Private by design:
* Chat history, folders, memories, and attachments are end-to-end encrypted
* Your encryption keys remain under your control
* We can’t read your conversations, use them to train AI, or hand over plaintext we don’t have
Powerful by default:
* Photos and file attachments
* Long, continuous conversations
* Persistent memory that learns about you—not a readable profile stored about you
* Folders with their own custom instructions
* Private connections to services such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar
* Available on iPhone and the web
Confer is how personal AI should work: useful enough to tell it anything, private enough that you can.
Terms of Use: https://confer.to/terms/index.html
еще 1.10.4:
* Some annoying bugs got fixed.
1.10.3:
* Images can now make the daring journey from your clipboard into a chat on iOS.
* Confer also speaks Ukrainian, and onboarding no longer confuses your name with your assistant’s.
* Plus the usual collection of small fixes, quiet improvements, and bugs encouraged to explore opportunities elsewhere.
1.10.2:
* Settings got some settings of their own. Personalization, memory, connections, security, data controls, appearance, and membership now live in a calmer, clearer home.
* You can now create and manage recovery keys. They can unlock your encrypted data on your other devices when your passkey isn’t available there.
1.10.0:
* Folders have learned to read. Add PDFs and other documents once, and every chat in the folder can reference them—from a decade of lab results to all 1,118 pages of Jung. They remain end-to-end encrypted, because the collective unconscious is already crowded enough. We also made uploads faster, search smarter, and attachment handling considerably less dramatic.

1.9.2:
* For thousands of years, humanity has looked at rows of numbers and thought: surely there is a less hostile way to do this. There is. It is called a chart, and Confer now has them.
Answers can now include interactive charts you can explore by touch. Tap and drag across data points to inspect individual values. Lines go up, bars stand around, and nobody has to pretend a table of decimals was “perfectly clear.”
* We also made the machinery behind Confer’s specialized skills more dependable. You will not see most of this work, which is generally what you want from machinery.
* As always, your conversations remain end-to-end encrypted. The charts are interactive, not inquisitive.
1.9.1:
* Confer now speaks German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. Its passport remains regrettably empty.
* Long conversation? Use the new message-history rail to zip through it and rediscover that brilliant thought you definitely meant to write down.
* We also made connecting services more reliable on iOS and performed the traditional assortment of bug fixes, polish, and tightening of tiny encrypted screws.

1.8.2 and 1.8.3:
Opening a chat used to be five separate events: a tap, a flash, a blank pause, a pop, and a small snap of regret. It's now one continuous motion. We profiled every millisecond between your finger and your messages, made decryption more than twice as fast, and removed the blank frame where the app briefly considered its life choices. You also now get exactly one haptic per tap, which we've determined is the correct number.
While the AI is thinking, the little waiting dot now gathers itself, leaps into orbit, and becomes a comet. Was this necessary? No. Did we spend three weeks making the handoff pixel-perfect across two rendering engines? Everything in Confer is end-to-end encrypted, so no one can prove anything.
We also caught the ghost that occasionally shoved your chat downward after sending a message. It was the keyboard. It has been spoken to.
And if a chat ever fails to load, you'll now get a polite retry button instead of an infinite void. We believe in second chances.
1.8.0:
• Apple Health is here. Ask about your sleep, workouts, or heart rate, and Confer will answer — privately. Your health data is read on your device and end-to-end encrypted, so the only ones discussing your blood pressure are you and a very discreet AI. We couldn't peek at your step count if we wanted to. We designed it that way on purpose, and also we don't want to.
• Redesigned Connected Services so you can tell at a glance what's connected and what isn't, which we've been told is the entire point of a settings screen.
• Long conversations now scroll dramatically faster. Your messages were always there; your phone just no longer has to think about all of them at once.
• The keyboard now gets out of the way when you tap elsewhere in a folder. It knows when it isn't wanted.

1.7.1:
- Attaching a photo now happens at the speed of a decision instead of the speed of a committee: the drawer opens at the right height the first time, your picture appears the instant you pick it, and tapping away closes things without the little interpretive dance it used to do.
- Send a photo with no words and you'll no longer get a mysterious empty speech bubble keeping it company. It was lonely. It's gone now.
- Bumped up your iPhone's text size because you're a sensible person? Confer's replies finally listen and grow with you.
- Editing a memory in dark mode used to mean typing into a void you couldn't read. The void has been lit.
1.7.2:
- "Copy" now copies exactly what you selected. Just the words. The plain, honest words. Previously, copying a sentence would helpfully hand you the entire surrounding region like an over-eager houseguest packing your fridge. It has been told to stop.
- New "Copy as Markdown." Select something and grab it with its formatting intact — bold stays **bold**, italics stay *italic*, code stays `code`, links stay links, headings keep their #. Even select half a bold word and you'll get exactly that half, properly emphasized. It reads the styles off the actual rendered text, so what you copy is what you saw.
As always, we can't see any of this. You copied something private and we have no idea what it was. That's the whole point.
1.7.3:
- Fix for crash in conversation branch

A designer stared at the send button for four days. On the fifth, they made it a circle, said "there," and went to lunch.
The rest of the app got the same treatment — quieter colors, calmer corners, a little more room to breathe. We'd point out everything we changed, but the whole idea was that you wouldn't notice. So: never mind.
Your messages remain yours, as always. That part we don't redesign.

• You can now shop in Confer. Ask about products and you get real prices, photos, and links in a browsable carousel. On your phone, the product pages are fetched directly from the merchant by your device — our servers never see your 2am air-fryer research. That's between you and the air fryer people.
• Everything is faster. The app launches in a fraction of the time and responds to your very first tap. Menus open when you press, the keyboard slides away with the sidebar, and every animation that used to stutter has been told to get a grip.
• Fixed a crash when attaching photos, a crash when reordering folders, an iOS freeze for free-tier users who created one folder too many, and interrupted responses leaving ghostly tool activity haunting your chats. The bugs have been taken out back.
If anything still feels slow, it should expect to be measured.

Confer, now with extra snappy:
• Streaming chats are dramatically smoother — fewer re-renders, more vibes.
• Tables, math, and code blocks now render fast on iOS instead of "eventually."
• MCP connectors are tougher and the keyboard finally behaves.
• Bonus: kanji selection no longer hijacks the Enter key.
