NEW: Large files open faster • A PDF of more than 200 pages used to take over five seconds to appear and now opens in under two. Pages are read when they are shown, rather than all at once. • Memory use is down to about a third of what it was. Keeping several large books open in tabs is much lighter on your Mac. • Solid-compressed CBR (RAR) files are practical to read now. One with more than 200 pages took minutes to open and now takes about five seconds. FIXED • When two or more windows were open, dropping a file on the Dock icon did not open a new window on the first try — only on the second. • The thumbnails in the sidebar kept showing the previous book after switching tabs.

NEW: You can now zoom in on a page • Pinch on a trackpad, or use ⌘+ / ⌘- to zoom. ⌘0 fits the page back to the window. With a mouse, hold ⌘ and scroll. Useful for scans with small lettering, or for reading on a smaller Mac. • Scroll with two fingers, or drag, to move around while zoomed in. The page will not slide past its own edges, so you never end up lost in the black margin. • Turn pages while staying zoomed in. The zoom level stays where you left it and only the view recenters, so there is no need to zoom in again on every page. • In spread view the two pages zoom together, so they stay joined at the spine. FIXED • When several files were opened at once, only one of them was given a cover icon in the Finder.

NEW • Reading direction and display mode are now remembered per file Reopen a file and it returns to the reading direction (right-to-left or left-to-right) and display mode (spread or single page) you last used for it. You can turn this off in Settings. • Automatic layout for files you open for the first time When nothing is saved for a file, Manga Viewer chooses between spread and single page from the image proportions. You can also fix it to one or the other in Settings. • Cover icons for every archive format Setting the first image as the file's Finder icon now works for CBR/RAR, CB7/7z and CBT/TAR, not just ZIP. FIXES • Fixed pages being skipped or repeated when paging backwards. • Fixed a black window when opening an archive that holds no images or is password-protected. It now explains what happened. • Fixed the seek bar disappearing while you were dragging it. • Fixed only the first file opening when several were opened at once. • Fixed page numbers shifting on some PDFs. • Made page turns and thumbnails lighter on the system.
