Welcome to Exhibit A
Exhibit A is a sleek, design-first cultural quiz application engineered for the meticulous, the curious, and the deeply cultured mind. Bypassing the flashing lights, noisy countdown timers, and cheap gamification of traditional trivia apps, Exhibit A transforms the pursuit of knowledge into an elegant, atmospheric detective experience.
It is a digital gallery where high-end design intersects with cultural history, turning players into detectives of the arts, cinema, music, and technology.
The Core Mechanic: The Evidence Wall
At the heart of the experience is the Evidence Wall—a clean, minimalist visual interface that avoids cluttered menus in favor of a striking "witness board" aesthetic. Instead of answering generic multiple-choice questions, players are presented with a blank case file and a series of hyper-detailed, evocative visual dossiers.
The Curated Progression: Each subject is guarded by four distinct visual clues, meticulously engineered to scale in difficulty.
The Deep Cuts (Clues 1 & 2): A case file opens with rare, atmospheric archival snapshots or obscure historical milestones (e.g., a vintage 1950s Greyhound bus ticket bearing a musician's birth name, or a pristine, a folded paper nuns hat).
The Visual Anchors (Clues 3 & 4): As the player progresses across the board, the clues shift to iconic cinematic set pieces, legendary fashion garments, or unmistakable personal uniforms, guiding the player toward the final eureka moment.
Tactile Deductions: Players use their deduction skills to connect the dots between seemingly disparate objects, piecing together history, design lore, and pop-culture breakthroughs.
The Reward: A Personal Art Gallery
In Exhibit A, victory isn't just about climbing a leaderboard—it is about acquisition.
Solving a case file permanently unlocks a bespoke, premium Constructivist-style minimalist vector poster representing the subject.
Characterized by bold geometry, aggressive diagonal compositions, sharp lines, and a strictly limited, high-contrast color palette, these posters are built to look like authentic screenprints. Over time, the app's clean interface evolves, transforming from a sterile wall of unsolved mysteries into a beautiful, cohesive, and deeply personal collection of graphic art.
Who is Exhibit A For?
Exhibit A is built for people who appreciate the fine details. It speaks directly to:
The Cinephiles who live for distinctive lighting, legendary framing, and the subtle textures of classic 35mm film grain.
The Music Historians who can track an artist's entire trajectory through a single piece of stage gear, a chameleonic wardrobe shift, or a legendary studio window view.
The Tech & Design Purists who find beauty in structural geometry, classic calligraphy fonts, uncompromising industrial design, and uncompromisingly clean user interfaces.
Follow the clues on the evidence wall to test your cultured mind. Packaged inside a masterfully stripped-back, Scandinavian-inspired UI, Exhibit A is a celebration of cultural literacy, designed for those who know that the real joy of trivia isn't just knowing the answer—it’s appreciating the story behind the clues.
