PageTOC gives any long web page the table of contents it should have had. Open it on an article, a specification, a paper or a documentation page, and PageTOC reads the page's own heading structure and builds a navigable outline. Tap a row to glide to that section. Keep scrolling and the outline follows you, so you always know where you are in a document you have never seen before. WHAT IT DOES • Builds an outline from the page's headings — nothing to configure per site • Highlights the section you are currently reading, and shows how far in you are • Smooth scrolling to any heading, including inside scrollable containers • A floating button on iPhone and iPad that you drag wherever you like; it snaps to the edge and stays there for that site • A draggable panel on Mac, with ⌘⇧E to show and hide it • Follows Dark Mode • Sites you do not want it on: hide it there in one tap, and manage the list in the app PRIVACY PageTOC collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no server — the extension contains no networking code at all, so there is nothing to opt out of. Everything happens on your device. Point a proxy at it and you will see no traffic. What is stored on your device: your two settings, the sites you chose to hide it on, and where you dragged the panel. Never stored: the addresses of pages you visit, how far you have read, any page content, or any identifier. WHAT IT CANNOT DO Safari does not let extensions run inside Reader view or on native PDFs, so PageTOC cannot add a table of contents in either place. Pages that style their headings instead of using real heading tags may come up empty; if that happens on a page you care about, the address is welcome under About → Feedback — it is the only way we can find out.
