Ekimori (駅守, “station keeper”) turns focused time into a train journey, one station at a time. Like a lighthouse keeper minding the lamp, it keeps your time while you work.
Pick a train from the departure board and hold the signal to depart. The in-car display shows the next station and the minutes left, and the window shows scenery that follows the time of day and the weather. At every station, you collect its stamp.
■ 136 real lines, 1,596 stations in Greater Tokyo
Ride real lines and stations across Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba, over their real distances. Maps and station data are built in, so it works in airplane mode.
■ Pricing
The Yamanote Line and one line through your home station are free for good. Every other line opens with the All-Lines Pass, a one-time purchase that also includes every region added later. No subscription.
■ The train sets the time
A Local runs 15 minutes, a Rapid 25, a Limited Express 45 and a Night Train 60. A Mystery train keeps its terminus secret until you arrive. Or use the ticket machine to choose your own line and direction.
■ Collect and grow
• A stamp at every station and a stamp rally card for every line, with special stamps for night, rain, snow, the first train and the last
• Your own route map, filling in section by section
• A ticket for every ride
• Your own train, growing with your hours from one car to sixteen. Choose its livery and headmark
■ Look back, then plan
Each day becomes a train diagram and a short diary. At the end of the week, a postcard arrives with a timetable revision notice: run regular trains at the times that suit you, and set rest days with no service. At the end of the month, your own timetable magazine.
■ Made for focus
• Pick a reminder as the trip’s purpose, and check it off when you arrive
• Recorded ambience (rain, seaside, country wind, a bullet-train cabin) and an original track sound
• The in-car display on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Pause the train, or stop over at a station for a five-minute break
• Window weather from where you are, from the train’s destination, or picked by hand
■ No account. Your records stay on your iPhone.
No ads, no tracking.
Station signs and departure boards keep their Japanese lettering, with English alongside, just as they do in Tokyo.
