No setting to change, and everything still runs privately on your device. Search in any language Notes written in Cyrillic, Greek, accented Latin or CJK scripts are now indexed properly, so search and Ask can find them. Smarter Ask Ask now surfaces the right note even when your question shares no keywords with it. A faster, steadier AI engine The on-device AI runtime has been updated, bringing fixes for stalls during long recordings and for garbled output on some graphics chips. Already have the speech models? They keep working. Settings shows an Update button when the multilingual models are available. The old ones are removed only after the new set has fully downloaded. FASTER TRANSCRIPTION • A dedicated on-device speech model (NVIDIA Parakeet) now transcribes recordings by default — dramatically faster and more accurate than before. • Live transcription: watch your words appear as you speak, both for new notes and when adding a recording to an existing note. • Speaker labels: multi-voice recordings show who said what. • No more 1-minute limit when adding a recording to a note — speak as long as you like. • Prefer the AI model? A Settings toggle transcribes with Gemma instead — slower, but supports non-English audio. SMARTER, SAFER NOTES • Silent or empty recordings no longer turn into made-up notes — ThinkAloud tells you nothing was heard instead of letting the AI guess. • Hardened on-device AI: recordings, shared text, and note content are sanitized before reaching the model, so content that tries to give it instructions is captured as text — never obeyed. • Cleaner long transcripts: fixed broken word spacing after the first section of long recordings. POLISH & RELIABILITY • Cancelling a recording you're adding to a note now asks for confirmation before deleting it. • Dozens of reliability, performance, and accessibility fixes across the app, including improved screen-reader support, large-text layouts, and reduced-motion handling.

This update is mostly about trust and polish. The recording flow is the big one. After you stop, you can now play the take back and keep it or throw it away before the AI ever touches it, so a bad recording doesn't cost you anything. The screen also stays awake through long recordings and processing, which quietly fixes a lot of interrupted captures. Also new: - Notes look better everywhere. Voice notes show their waveform, photo notes show a thumbnail, and the home screen keeps your five most recent. - Your timeline stays put. Notes are now ordered by their own date, so turning on sync can't shuffle everything around. - Answers in Ask show their sources. Tap one to jump straight to the note it came from. - Folders got real. Browse into them, move notes between them, pin the ones you use to your home screen, and merge two notes into one. - You can reprocess any note with the AI if the first pass wasn't quite right, with an optional slower, more thorough pass in Settings. - A top-to-bottom accessibility pass: bigger tap targets, proper screen-reader labels, a reduced-motion option, and a confirm step before anything gets deleted. - Switching the on-device model is faster and no longer re-downloads one you already have. - Shared PDFs now show emoji correctly.
