High-Frequency Words

Practise Early Reading

SAR 4.99 · Designed for iPad

Is your child struggling to make progress with early reading? In the UK, by the end of Key Stage 1, all children are expected to identify and use 300 High-Frequency words. This app focuses on helping children around 5-7 years old to learn the most common 300 words in the English language. Quick recognition of High-Frequency words forms part of many phonics programmes such as Read, Write, Ink. This app will support children to recognise these words quicker, thus improving fluency and reading speed. The app was built by 2 teachers for our own children to help them make progress and we wanted to share the app with the world. The sounds were all recorded by a phonics and early reading expert to ensure accuracy.
