HOW THE ENVELOPE METHOD WORKS
Never heard of it? It's the oldest budgeting trick going: when your pay lands you split it between envelopes - food shop, petrol, bills, the odd takeaway - and once one's empty, that's it until payday. Pouch does the same with digital envelopes. Give each a monthly budget, and everything you log comes out of its envelope, so you're not adding up last month - you're deciding what this month is for.

• Create envelopes and give each a monthly budget
• Log what you spend as you spend it, from an envelope and an account

Nothing to connect. Your envelopes, accounts and transactions are written to this iPhone and stay there - we can't see your budget, and nobody else can. You sign in with an email, but the budget never leaves the device: no cloud backup, no second-phone sync.
Export a copy any time - exporting your data is free, and always will be.

Pouch doesn't link to your bank, import transactions or fetch live exchange rates. No notifications or bill reminders, no shared budgets, no cloud sync. Balances are the ones you type in.
If you want your bank to do the work, this isn't your app. If you'd rather decide yourself where the money goes - welcome. Every penny gets a history.
