Services such as Instapaper, Pocket, website article saving and certain file-specific document conversions have limits and might require the Flash Reader Pro upgrade, which is a permanent one-time payment that unlocks all features of the app.
Some services (including PDF and ePub importing, as well as Microsoft Office files like DOCX) require an active internet connection when importing.
Also note that Flash Reader does not have voice support, so no text-to-speech or anything like that.
Flash reader has a lot going for it: It reads a bunch of formats, including PDF; it's interface is clean and professional; it allows you to configure a bunch of stuff. For a 5 star review, I'd like to see the following:More exact "cueing" and search options, I read long course books and would like to be able to go to a particular page, or search for a sentence to quickly get to where I want. I'd also like options to return to the beginning of a paragraph or page with a single tap when I miss something. Would also love the option to pause a bit longer on keywords such as proper nouns (capitalized words) and long words. All in all, beats every other speed reading app I've tried!

Good app that supports several file formats! It had got four stars if it weren't for two flaws/bugs; 1) The bookmarking doesn't work properly, when you reopen the app to continue with a text the app has always moved the bookmark to a different (earlier) point than from where you left off reading. 2) When you change the color theme, to black & white for example, the app has always changed back to the default gray when you reopen it. (Besides the color themes to chose from are actually not that nice).
Excellent complement to other RSVP apps!

The primary feature that makes Flash Reader unique compared to its competition is its ability to import a massive amount of different document for speed reading in RSVP mode. In my case I use it to speed read business PDF documents.If you are looking for the best solution for RSVP reading and administrating Pocket, Instapaper, Readability and Pinboard articles you should have a look at the app Outread.If you are looking for the best solution for RSVP reading and handling ePub ebooks you should have a look at Velocireader and/or KyBooks depending on your needs and preferences.But if you want to speed read a lot of different text documents in RSVP mode (especially PDF) I really recommend Flash Reader!
