The game has incredible balancing in its incremental progress. However, a huge chunk of the game is the ascension system. The ascension is really fun and allows you to discern yourself from other players by allowing you to make your own builds.However, as a new player, you must be ready to invest several days if not weeks in order to ascend FOR THE FIRST TIME. You unlock the ability to ascend after reaching a certain milestone. In order to ascend you need to use abilities 100 times. This is incredibly grindy and lengthy process. Even after upgrading the rate at which you achieve energy (which you need to spend energy to upgrade instead of using it for abilities), it’ll still take around 72 hours MINIMUM in order to use abilities 100 times.I don’t see the point in locking a huge chunk of the game (and arguably the most fun part of the game) behind a massive grind wall. Many new players will drop this game before even making it to their first ascension, since it takes such a long time. Which is sad, because beside the ascension system, the game has a really satisfying balancing.
